LePen is a wolf in Sheep's clothing, under the advice of handlers she has toned down the rhetoric to gain broader support,.
It reminds me the story of the snake who needs to cross the river and asks the otter for a ride across. The Otter refuses and says, "are you crazy? you will bite me and kill me."
To which the snake replies "no I will not because if I do I will also drown"
and the otter agrees and gives the snake a ride .
In the middle of the river the snake bites the otter, and as they are both dying , the otter cries to the snake
"why did you do that?, now we will both die"
To which the snake replies " I could not help myself , It's my nature"

LePen is a wolf in sheep's clothing but she can not deny her nature, that she has made perfectly clear in her past statements. A LePen win will be an unmitigated disaster for France of the magnitude that the trump win was for the US.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

LePen is a fucking nazi who supports Putin.

Nazism is an ideology. Do you understand that ? If Lepen's party identified itself as an extension of Vichy France & general Phillipe Petain, and she promised to start naming cities and streets after the Vichy Nazis, that would make her a an actual neo Nazi. And that's exactly what the west Ukrainian govt is and is doing.

It's rather ironic that the Western mainstream calls even everyone Nazis except the actual Nazis

"Front National" is not a club I would like to join, but that it surfaced was inevitable.

The french has plaque, cholera or the sofa to vote for.

I believe he started a thread about it in the past. I tried a search for it, but the search feature is broken.

But seriously helge, if you can't figure out who he would support based on his ridiculous edgy posting style, then you need to pay more attention.

I don't even know, who I would have voted for, but could rule out the two top runners easily.

Would he have voted for the trotskyist guy ?

    You think?

I'd say he's pretty much killed it with the crap he posts all the time.

But we all have our opinions...

^ The French elections have an effect on Europe and so obviously there are more interested parties than just the French.
Judging by the German Press, they are not too happy about the idea of Le Pen winning the election. A catastrophe for the EU and for Ukraine is the general feeling.
I'd have thought the Brext loving Brits would have been head over heels in joy at the possibility of a Le Pen victory.

It takes years to unite people and make the world a safer place but it's so fragile that it can all disappear in the blink of an eye. Le Pen is dangerous for France and dangerous for a united Europe. It could also be the death of fcas.

I sure hope this is the end of Bourjois Blairite technocratic woke centrism for France. I'll believe it when I see it though

As an outsider, most of what can be seen leads to the current incumbent displaying the weaknesses of leadership, which has allowed Le Pen and nationalist tendencies to flourish.

This is why the electorate display such strong Gaullist attitudes to the countries leadership. The old guard is dying fast and Le Pen would need a significant swing of younger voters to support the nationalist cause.

Macrons weaknesses have allowed Le Pen a bigger voice, but I think it unlikely that Macron will be unseated this time around.

Le Pen has support from the right . . . and not much from elsewhere. When it comes to all other parties falling by the wayside with a centrist party and an extreme party the only survivors the the outcome isn't unusual.

^^ Did you ever explain the reasons why you'd like M. Le Pen to win?

... Or is it just because you think it's clever to take the opposing view in every matter.

Gap is widening in the latest polls, but the polls have been very wrong too often in recent times.

It's better to have leaders with some national character. The last real president of France was Chirac. Sarcozy, Hollande and Macron are all little Americans that take orders from the US.

Lepen is to the left of Macron in a lot of ways

Which hallucinogens were you using when you posted this?

Minors should be denied access to such medicines. As you continue to prove. Just because lax moderation encourages it, does not mean you are in the least sentient.
