    Republican or Democrat?

The face of US politics has changed. The last half decent Republican potus was probably Reagan. Presiding over the end of the cold war in Europe, probably down to his political strength of conviction, and decisiveness when it mattered.
Obama was so promising for the democrats, but hamstrung by the opposition in the house and senate.
Trump comes across as bit of a meddling moron who tried to preside by social media. There’s no accounting for his continued strong following.
Biden looks a bit shaky, but has cleverly surrounded himself with a strong team. It remains to be seen if he has the ability to preside over such a fragmented electorate.

Could Harris run the country of Biden doesn’t last the course?
More questions than answers right now, but still early days.

Why couldn't she? It's shameful that the country has never had a female president.

    And that's being kind.

He does. Very shaky. I wish he's stop trying to project physical strength. The guys 78, he should settle back a bit. I'm going to predict that if he carries on at this rate he's simply going to collapse at some point or he's going to have a nasty fall.

Reagan was a piece of shit. He introduced trickle down economics and waged war on labor unions and that is just for starters. The last great GOP president was Dwight D. Eisenhower.

...not even half-decent: more a self-centered, big business advocate who increased homelessness exponentially...i.e., a typical Republican...

...to clarify: the hamstringing was done by obstructionist Republicans who prioritize themselves, their families and their perks before the welfare of the country...

As do I - it's ever so cringeworthy seeing him shuffle/run - it is simply not necessary. He's not shaky politically, so he should just do his job.

No party can pass a national healthcare system, and thus the USA's claim to first world status is dodgy.
No party can stop the endless, pointless wars that kill and maim many, but put money in the pockets of a few.
No party seems to be able to make any meaningful change at federal level. The USA is owned by vested interests and their lobbyists.
At least the Republicans are honest about it- the Democrats are just more polished Liars.

    Time to change the System.

    ^ 'corporations are people too'?

What an absolutely ridiculous notion . . . but half of Americans believe it.

The goal of both parties is to regain or retain power. Noble does not really enter into it.

Personally, as an outsider, i would think there is no longer a "Republican" party. There is a Trump cult running around wearing a Republican party skin suit.

The federal deficit, from Reagan to Trump:

Reagan took the deficit from $70 billion to $175 billion. Bush 41 took it to $300 billion. Clinton got it to zero. Bush 43 took it from zero to $1.2 trillion. Obama halved it to $600 billion. Trump’s got it back to a trillion.

The only thing this Republican party is honest about, is that they will do anything, and say anything, to remain in the good graces of Donald J. Trump. They’ve handcuffed themselves to that dead hooker.

Don't forget Reagan did a deal to keep the Iran hostages locked up until he was elected.
