You seem to be saying that it is mostly people of Boomer age that believe these ridiculous conspiracy theories such as Q-anon, or at least promulgate them. I kinda doubt that.

Do you think most Trump voters actually believe Q-anon? I don't think so.

Really? What is my generation, snubby?

And a whole generation of people getting a bad press? Billions of people all getting a bad press because they were born in a certain couple of decades?

Come on, snubby. I thought you were better than that. I'm surprised you've lowered yourself to Socal's level.

    I know realise I'm a club member.

I would suggest that to many the internet has opened up many avenues. News, hobbies, employment opportunities, contact with friends and families .....

A useful avenue for communication. Many wonderful sites to obtain, what was previously the unobtainable. One obviously must be careful with that one searches for.

The fundamental issue often ignored in these sorts of debates is the inescapable fact that the internet has given a voice to The Stupid..

As a consequence we have aberrations such as Trump and Brexit which only came about because The Stupid, who are in fact the majority in most societies, are credulous enough to believe propaganda that reduces the complexity of decisions to near infantile terms which are comprehensible to the masses easily duped by their stupidity, their naivety, their ignorance and, perhaps the greatest of their driving forces, their bigotry and prejudice.

It's not Boomers per se who are the problem, merely The Stupid, a demographic so well represented here.

Then to be consistent , you should oppose democracy. Or at least oppose universal suffrage. Are you willing to go there ?

And I disagree that Internet is causing this. What's causing this is monetary policy. Since 2008, the developed world adopted Weimar Germany style monetary policy. And when you do Weimar monetary policy , you get Weimar politics. And that's what we have.

Just imagine they had the Internet , Twitter and this media bullshit in the 1920's and 30's. In Germany Russia and Spain. It would be like today or worse

The Stupid is way over-represented here on TD, but in a different kind of way, because they think are mostly anonymous

Not an attribute solely applicable by age or a certain cohort.

That's a spelling mistake or a typo, neither of which are 'stupid '.

Confusing "discreet" and "discrete" is neither a spelling mistake nor a typo.

You are a well-known blaterer and forum troll.

    Piss off, troll.

Well when you're right you're right, I'm sure The Stupid appreciate your representation!

LatinKaren is providing a live demonstration of what the IntraGoogles can do to a Boomers brain.

Though in defense of the IntraGoogles there's a substantial element of pre-existing conditions / neuroses in that mix.
