Most of the first 20-21 years of my time in the Navy we were mostly just a big stick. With the exception of the very short Desert Shield/ Desert Storm period. And then 9/11 went down and it seems the country lost it’s mind. Something that should have been nothing more than a month or so bombing campaign turned into an unnecessary full scale couple decades long war.
