He knowingly ran against facts . . . that's not a mistake, it's bloody minded stupidity.
Well, in my definition, but then I'm neither a native English-speaker nor a teacher.
If you have the following scenario:
Ralph is taking a maths test, the question is 1+1=?
The teacher tells him the answer is '2'
He has a maths book open to a page where it states the answer is '2'
His parents tell him the answer is '2'
His friends tell him the answer is '2'
Google tells him the answer is '2'
Calculators tell him the answer is '2'
Is it still a mistake if he writes 435?

435 was the answer his Facebook group and YouTubers gave him.
it is, if a conman convinced you that 2+2=3 and the calculator is broken, (Fake calculator) .It is not a mathematical mistake it is mistake in trust.
I agree with you that he was stupid. in fact I said so my self previously. Consequently though, stupid make mistakes, they are called stupid mistakes. I know I have made a few , I am sure you have also.
Stupid people are also mislead, and taken advantage of.
trump is a smart operator, he is a conman. he is taking advantage of these stupid people for his personal gain. It is the classic definition of a conman . and there is a relationship between the conman and the mark. though we realize the mark is stupid, we also have some compassion for those less fortunate than us.
But trust me, I understand what you are saying, and perhaps we are arguing over semantics.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
One way or another trump will go away. but stupid will remain , we need to find a way to live with stupid.
I understand the frustration, I often feel it my self, and the impulse for a visceral reaction is strong. But IMO we need to understand stupid, and if we are not also stupid , use them to do good rather than evil.
If evil can use stupid, why cant we? Or are we going to go down the "basket of deplorables" route again.
Ya know MK, most of my friends who I am in regular contact with in the states believe there are now just 2 societies. One that believes that they can control and keep the virus away by following the guidelines set forth by the worlds medical leaders and the other one who are people who just do not give a shit. Sadly however what will likely happen is all the people fighting to avoid the virus will eventually get it because the others who do not care will keep spreading it.
It is a truly sad state of affairs and of course our President does not lead by example which makes it even worse. We also have the people who feel wearing a mask and social distancing is an infringement on their rights but what happened to common courtesy and respect for others? The US has lost its way and all these entitled behaviors will be their undoing.
...^however, your stupid mistakes may not endanger the lives of several others...you don't drink and drive, do you?...
Of course not . . . and drink driving is not a mistake.
Many Americans are stupid because they are arrogant and uneducated. It is a well known fact that Americans don't know much about geography. Many Jay Leno show's video people on the street that don't know their own history or geography let alone anything else going on in the world. Fact!
And the way some men (boys) act on this forum, makes me wonder about stupidity as well.
^lol.. Not all Americans are stupid, but a lot of them are imo!! Sheeple following the lead sheep (Trump). Lack of leadership is a big problem.
He had it coming. He was not only putting himself at risk. He was putting everyone at risk with whom he crossed paths as well. He deserved it.
'and' is an odd second thing to say.
Oh, nice! Kudos
Too right . . . Having said that I do drive here in NZ but try to avoid it in Malaysia, though I do have a car there. Just can't stand the traffic and mad/aggressive/entitled drivers
