^Welcome back Ray. How was prison?
still upset about that, eh?
it was only a joke i made in passing.
didn't know you'd take it so personally.

i think everyone knows why prison is a touch subject for you.

So don't conflate the two. As for why is Eskimo considered a derogatory word, google is your friend, but a good start would be it's a word bestowed by non-inuit people. But really, does it matter why a word is considered offensive to decide if you will use it or not? Should not the matter that it is considered offensive, be enough?

What happened to the Eskimos?
You don't have to tell me that!!
I always thought they were more of a curiosity myself, but I did not want to be the first to say it.
You don't think they had anything to do with the disappearance of the Eskimos?
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
I genuinely didn't know that Eskimo considered a derogatory word
There was a report I read (after I took KW's suggestion to Google the term) that the Australian Band changed their name to Inuit Joe.

Princeton to remove Woodrow Wilson's name from policy school
Princeton University says it is to remove the name of former US President Woodrow Wilson from a building on its campus because of his racist beliefs and policies.
The move follows a wave of protests across the US sparked by the death of African American man George Floyd.
Wilson was US president from 1913 to 1921 and helped to establish the League of Nations, a forerunner of the UN.

You are mistaken, but I will forgive you because as Gorilla you have not fully involved yet.
"In Canada and Greenland, the term Eskimo has largely been supplanted by the term Inuit.[14][45][46][49] While Inuit can be accurately applied to all of the Eskimo peoples in Canada and Greenland, that is not true in Alaska and Siberia. In Alaska the term Eskimo is commonly used, because it includes both Yupik and Iñupiat. "

You of course falsely assumed that I was talking about Canadian and/or Greenlandic indigenous people where I was referring to the Alaskans who prefer to be called Eskimos or Hey you in the Makalaks . And as such I demand a formal apology by performing the following dance.
Would you have an issue with that as well?
Except that's not what this article shouldbe about . . . but it helps frightened white people get triggered again
Umm . . . no. His actions spoke louder than words. Let's also not forget that this happened last century - the century eveyone of us was born in.
He was a particularly nasty piece of shit who actually took away rights from the black population. Actually took them away.
Semantics that is the bollixs that we are arguing over - in reality it boils down to respect for one another and names are just that names, labels used to describe or divide but its up to you how you get offended by them- its all getting pretty fuking dull unless you are American and tie yourself in knots over this shit. I fukin shit them..Mercans mainly .. in my business past they are just a fuking self serving liability and the sooner i finished having to deal with the koonts professionally the better..too many idiots and too many died.
Probably- if they're white. You don't think they had anything to do with the disappearance of the Eskimos?
Anyway, it's not OK to call them Eskimos, but it's OK to say their womenfolk are slappers and a cheap root.
