I have to say that one thing occurs. In the UK and i have no idea about the US, the BAME community seems to have a disproportionately high COVID mortality rate, i would have thought all this protesting isn't going to help these stats - not a criticism just an observation.

    The lady mayor performed well.

Not many people of colour passing the stations reporter, why?

You have a lot of annoying questions and observations lately. They were there most were further inside where there is a stage set up for people to speak.

    Yes, she comes across well.

It's more of a street party than a protest.

Indeed. A different approach with the Governor's blessing.

The whole affair could be mirrored as a model in these troubled times.
....depending largely on the local population one is dealing with.

Your local village seems to be beyond your comprehension.

Why try to extend your foolishness to another country?

If we have had Fox News on here lets have Bob Dylan as well. 1976 was the year Dylan released what I think is one of his best. A tale of racism and the court system in America. Its a true story of Ruban "Hurricane" Carter, a black middleweight boxer and the tragic circumstances that befell him..

    Hurricane.

There's a lot of similarities to Christiania in Copenhagen. Except weed is legal in Washington state.

Thanks for making the effort to show us pics from the scene.

It's still all over the news here at the moment.

    Appreciated.

I've been to Christiania in Copenhagen and weed (and other stuff) was perfectly legal back then.

While it may be technically illegal now (the link I've just read says that it wasn't as of last year), I'm sure that in reality it's a lot easier to find on the ground than it is in Washington State.

There are probably more dispensaries in Washington State than there are Starbucks. It's very easy to get.

Btw, as the mods have shown that they're quite adept at changing the titles of threads, can you change this one too and rectify the spelling mistake?

It's driving my OCD up the wall.

But probably not as much fun I'd imagine.

    Same as me.

I'm a bit pissed now, but I've been all over Europe (including the 'Dam probably 60 times plus) and my mates were big into it, but myself much less so.

Better drugs on the market IMO. Surely you wanna feel good when you have a dabble? That stuff was like adding 4 pints onto my beer tally and saw me falling all over tables and all sorts like a right cnut. Not my cup of tea.

Either way, those times are in the past, but some fucking ridiculously good memories whatever your poison was.

Who said the drugs don't work?

All the news that fits the narrative. Not only the 'opinion' side, but the news side too

Fox News removed photos accompanying its coverage of Seattle’s demonstrations from its website on Friday after acknowledging that one was a combination of several different images and a second photo was of a fiery scene in a different city.
On Seattle’s Capitol Hill, protesters of the police killing of George Floyd have claimed a series of city blocks, now known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. The police there have boarded up their precinct and given protesters free rein in the area. In recent days, the zone has featured speeches, music and a screening of a film on the criminal justice system.
On Friday, Fox posted on its site a photo of a man armed with a rifle standing in front of the shattered glass of a storefront. The Seattle Times noted that it was a combination of several different photos from Getty Images taken over nearly two weeks.
Also on the website, Fox also posted a nighttime photo of a burning storefront and car, accompanied by the headline “Crazy Town” and a list of articles on the unrest in Seattle. But that image was taken in St. Paul, Minn.

Don't smoke it myself anymore but one of the few open places during quarantine were the weed dispensaries and yes they are everywhere here. Shit there are even drive throughs.

There is the possibility of the second wave. If it occurs in large numbers how will the newly realeased prisoners react?

We are seeing lockdown again in Beijing.
