The ruling Communist Party have never pretended to be our friends or admired any part of democracy or capitalism, rights, freedoms or transparency, except when convenient for their own purposes; the party exists pure and simple to exploit the people who in turn exist to serve the party.

So what did we do? - we brought them into the WTO (Clinton?), opened our markets and technologies to them in the name of diplomacy and good relations, transplanted our factories and businesses to give the most calculating ideology of recent times every tool it needs to make and keep us dependent over the long term, which is how it views the world, over the short term, where we are.
