Taking in account the fact that the voting rights of women on the national level in Switzerland started just 50 years ago, and in some cantons only 30 years ago (and that only after federal order)...

...the figures seems to be very believable..

Until 5 decades ago black children were not allowed to travel to school in the same bus as white children but that was comfortably forgotten by those making the lists.

^That has nothing to do with the real "democracy"...
(I mean, that fact does not speak against "democracy")

    Spot on.

There are plenty still alive today that were born into a 'democracy' where they didn't even have the same rights as others.

If we use the term 'universal suffrage' the list would look very different

Things tend to move fast once standing principles are successfully challenged; isn't that how societies progress?

I would certainly not try to sell Colonialism to you based on it's Democratic credentials. Merely it's legacy, in the case of the Brits- but it has also resulted in the two largest democracies in the world today.

Trying to assume which ones the two might be...

After googling, I have found one:

No, democracy is flawed like every other system. As a famous Brit once said, it is the worst political system ever apart from every other one ever tried. About the only democratic system that gets a real pass mark from me is Switzerland actually.

But we don't have much in the way of competition do we? Democratic Republic of Nth Korea? Thailand (masquerading as a democracy but very clearly not)? China?

Just two minor points. He didn’t turn his politics into a fitness video, and he was a better political analyst than Jane Fonda.
