Whatevs, personally I just recognized this thread for what it would be to certain elements of the forum so didn’t bother.
Also, Peterson is a fuckwit.

Silly me thinking I might get some good constructive answers and possibly good tips. The debate of the existence of climate change I would think is over with the overwhelming body of scientific evidence. I would've thought doing something little or much was the next logical step.

We throw away little food. I use the bike for most of our shopping instead of the car. Use public buses and trains a lot too. Appliances are low energy consumption and we use them judiciously.
And then we go and squander it all on long distance vacations. Better do that now before they triple airfares by taxing them.

I've been watching many of the locals turning of their motor bike engines when riding down hill recently.
Could be lack of money, as the crops are still a month or two away from harvesting, though.
I don't need to do anything different. As a soap Dodger, I don't use much hot water. I drive to within a mile of work and walk the rest of the way. I eat more salads and fruit so don't have to cook all the time.
Problem is I release much more gas than I use to, which can't be good...
BTW isn't the USA the biggest culprit in this world? They are destroying the planet far better than they are destroying Syria or those nasty IS baddies....
I've been re-using single use plastics ie: plastic bags and bottles.
I've cut down on my baked bean consumption and switched to peas so as not to release to much methane gas from my rear.
I planted a dozen tree seeds last year which sadly flooded to death over the winter.
A drop in the ocean I know, but baby steps and all that cal.

There's So Much Methane in This Arctic Lake That You Can Light the Air on Fire | Live ScienceEsieh Lake has an average depth of about 3 feet (1 meter), the sections where the biggest methane bubbles are seeping out plunge down to up to 50 feet (15 m).
From these holes in the bottom of the lake, huge amounts of methane come gushing out — more than 2 tons of gas every day, according to one of Walter Anthony's colleagues — an amount that's equivalent to the emissions of about 6,000 dairy cows (cow farts are one of the world's largest methane sources).
Had a company come round the house and gave a quote on solar panels for the roof. Seems pretty reasonably priced, although the battery type is on the steep side..
Anyone else using solar at home.? (Is there a thread on here already?).
