Whatevs, personally I just recognized this thread for what it would be to certain elements of the forum so didn’t bother.

    Also, Peterson is a fuckwit.

Best morning shower ever and one I'll repeat often.
I taught the youngest about military showers*, he loved the 'military' tag and went along with being a real warrior a couple of times, then decided it's so much fun that in future he'll do 6-10.

Silly me thinking I might get some good constructive answers and possibly good tips. The debate of the existence of climate change I would think is over with the overwhelming body of scientific evidence. I would've thought doing something little or much was the next logical step.

Our house is well insulated and needs little heat. We also use natural gas for heating and hot water which is quite CO2 efficient.

We throw away little food. I use the bike for most of our shopping instead of the car. Use public buses and trains a lot too. Appliances are low energy consumption and we use them judiciously.

And then we go and squander it all on long distance vacations. Better do that now before they triple airfares by taxing them.

I've been watching many of the locals turning of their motor bike engines when riding down hill recently.

Could be lack of money, as the crops are still a month or two away from harvesting, though.

I don't need to do anything different. As a soap Dodger, I don't use much hot water. I drive to within a mile of work and walk the rest of the way. I eat more salads and fruit so don't have to cook all the time.

Problem is I release much more gas than I use to, which can't be good...

BTW isn't the USA the biggest culprit in this world? They are destroying the planet far better than they are destroying Syria or those nasty IS baddies....

I've been re-using single use plastics ie: plastic bags and bottles.

I've cut down on my baked bean consumption and switched to peas so as not to release to much methane gas from my rear.

I planted a dozen tree seeds last year which sadly flooded to death over the winter.

A drop in the ocean I know, but baby steps and all that cal.

Apparently Britains use more soap per capita than the French. So much for dodging?

As a suggestion, maybe you could still enjoy bake beans and to mitigate the emitted vapors you could attach a tube to your ass and run the lawn mower.

Our chippy has stopped using plastic and polystyrene.

There's So Much Methane in This Arctic Lake That You Can Light the Air on Fire

Esieh Lake has an average depth of about 3 feet (1 meter), the sections where the biggest methane bubbles are seeping out plunge down to up to 50 feet (15 m).

From these holes in the bottom of the lake, huge amounts of methane come gushing out — more than 2 tons of gas every day, according to one of Walter Anthony's colleagues — an amount that's equivalent to the emissions of about 6,000 dairy cows (cow farts are one of the world's largest methane sources).

I am wondering what happened to all the climate change advocates that were so vocal about climate change and so denigrating of deniers.
I assume the zealots from the climate change thread have A: not found this thread yet. B: Have talked a lot but have done little to nothing. Or C: Are still waiting outside school waiting to pick up their children/grandchildren while leaving the engine on to run the car air conditioning.
I'm really not sure any counterargument is needed when there's terry around.

As for 'denigration', the main area of 'discussion' regarding climate change on this forum has consisted of posters denigrating a sixteen year old.

Had a company come round the house and gave a quote on solar panels for the roof. Seems pretty reasonably priced, although the battery type is on the steep side..

Anyone else using solar at home.? (Is there a thread on here already?).

Solar water, loads of it and piping hot, even the garden hoses run warm; + led bulbs all round and bills are loww.
