^^ And what has American "military capacity" gained in the Middle East? They cannot even subdue an Iraq already 80% disarmed by the UN. A joke for many generations- even their increasingly reluctant allies are mocking them.
It seems only Israel has any use for them these days as a blinkered, retarded thug. American military adventurism in the ME has been an unmitigated disaster.

I admit I know very little about big boys guns and missiles. I had a few cap guns as a child and went pigeon shooting with an older cousin, but at the time his shotgun was far to heavy for me to handle.

With regards to utilising two missiles at target, which was successfully shot down. Is this normal you tell me.

Regarding the non "direct hit' I believe it was a "fragmentation missile", one that explodes in the proximity of the target and showers the target with shrapnel/carefully designed high density shaped bits of metal. Similar to the Ukrainian, Russian built "Lego" missile, used on the civil airline target successfully shot down by the Ukrainian military.

The recent Russian built "Lego" missiles did what it says on the tin, "Danger this weapon successfully blows up areal targets, not a firework, only to be fired by a person aged 16+".

Eleven U.S. troops injured in Jan. 8 Iran missile attack in Iraq

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States treated 11 of its troops for symptoms of concussion after an Iranian missile attack on an Iraqi base where U.S. forces were stationed, the U.S. military said on Thursday, after initially saying no service members were hurt.

The attack was retaliation for a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad on Jan. 3 that killed Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the elite Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

President Donald Trump and the U.S. military had said there were no casualties after the strike on the Ain al-Asad air base in western Iraq and a facility in its northern Kurdish region.

“While no U.S. service members were killed in the Jan. 8 Iranian attack on Al Asad air base, several were treated for concussion symptoms from the blast and are still being assessed,” Captain Bill Urban, spokesman for U.S. Central Command, said in a statement.

Anyone carrying a diplomatic passport can now be splattered across a desert, or tundra. The great satan has made that very clear.

    Don't be stupid.

The oil price is being kept high by Saudi and Russia keeping a lid on production.

US crude oil production breaks new record high
Crude output reaches all-time high of 13 million barrels a day

    11:36 January 17, 2020

Crude oil production in the U.S. reached a new record high of 13 million barrels per day (bpd) as at the week ending Jan. 10, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The world's biggest crude oil producer saw its output decrease by 3,000 bpd in the state of Alaska, but increase by 100,000 bpd in other states excluding Hawaii, bringing total crude output in the country from approximately 12.9 million bpd to 13 million bpd.

The last time the U.S.' crude oil production reached a record high level was for the week ending Nov. 22 when output climbed to 12.9 million bpd, according to the EIA's data, which was released on Wednesday.

Crude oil production in the country is estimated to average 13.3 million bpd in 2020, according to the EIA's Short-Term Energy Outlook report for January.

Commercial crude oil inventories in the U.S. fell by 2.5 million barrels, or 0.6%, to 428.5 million barrels for the week ending Jan. 10, more than the market expectation of a decline of 0.5 million barrels. Crude inventories increased by 1.2 million barrels during the previous week.

Strategic petroleum reserves, which are not included in the commercial crude stocks, remained unchanged at 635 million barrels last week, according to the data.

Gasoline inventories, on the other hand, rose by 6.7 million barrels, or 2.7%, to 258.3 million barrels over that period. The market expectation was an increase of 3.4 million barrels. Gasoline inventories rose by 9.1 million barrels the week before.

    FTFY.
My apologies the official body who posted the legal notice of the illegally "splattered over the desert" diplomat passport carrying individual, was the EU.

However the great Satan has, formally for decades exterminated illegally, anyone it deems.

For those among us who are so obviously and pitifully confused, here is an actual defensive strike:-

‘Jabba the Jihadi’ captured in Iraq
A morbidly obese ISIS fanatic dubbed “Jabba the Jihadi” has been captured by Iraqi forces — who loaded him onto a flatbed truck because he couldn’t fit in a police car.

... “Most religious justifications provided to ISIS for enslaving, raping, torturing, ethnic cleansing & massacring Iraqis, Syrians & others are from this paltry beast who can’t even stand on his own two legs,” he wrote.“Do not underestimate the psychological blow the image of this obese monster being arrested is to ISIS. Gluttony is frowned upon by jihadists. But also, ISIS branded themselves as fighters possessing rare courage & discipline … meanwhile this walrus was their top religious cleric.”
Abu Abdul Bari: ISIS leader dubbed ‘Jabba the Jihadi’ captured in Iraq

Just make it a strong rope.. Gotta feel sorry for those virgins.
