Hopefully her family home is powered by gerbils in wheels or something, or she's really in for it.

    You mean lying...

Pretending to be a poor traveller sitting on the floor while not bothering to mention her first class seat and food service.

Ultimately, she's just a kid who is being used/abused by her parents and other political organizations, but the whole space around her is putrid (not her, per se, but the manipulation and politicising of a child who will suffer because of it).
    Cycling should be banned!!!

Corbyn pulled the same stunt in 2016. Must be a Marxist stunt.

Re Greta and her now famous Train Photo ... I have to defend her this time.

It's easy to accuse Greta of many things, but I believe her to be ernest and smart enough not to lose her Street Cred by pulling a stunt.

I've taken a similar Train journey, travelling from London to Finland for Christmas once and there were times I didn't have a seat.

Back then, there were 'sprung' temp seats in the hallway outside the cabins.

At night I was able to pull down two of them and with my backpack shove upright between them, that made a rough sleeping bed for a few hours kip.
Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

my understanding is that her journey started out with her sitting on the floor, and then at some point later the train co. put her in first class seat.

btw, kind of fucked up for the train co. to take a shot at her on this....and i'm not sure how they benefit from all this.

    edit:
OK, cyrille addressed my first point a few posts up.

Actually, that's not what the DB states. If you're going to translate something then you should translate it correctly.

She should have altered her tweet or whatever it was then - it's deception, she's a kid, she probably didn't mean to pull a stunt or anything, but she simply shouldn't be in this position. It's ridiculous, and if any of you lot think for one second that the Globalist billionaires aren't the ones benefitting off her performance then you've misunderstood the state of things.

    Mindless consumption and waste.
Wouldn't expect any such change in the future.

Nope she rode two trains sitting on the floor. Presumably the squareheads were so embarrassed they got her a first class ticket to shut her up and then slagged her off on facetube for it.

Yeah, let's hope she'll one day be able to meet the standards required by TD's version of Roger Irrelevant.

    Maybe when she's seventeen.

    Translation:

"Dear #Greta, thank you for supporting us railroad workers in the fight against climate change! We were pleased that you were on the ICE 74 with us on Saturday. And with 100 percent green electricity. 1.2

It would have been even nicer if you had also reported how friendly and competent you were looked after by our team at your seat in first class. #Greta 2/2"

    From another source, a previous DB response to her photo post;

"Deutsche Bahn (DB) was quick to respond to Greta’s tweet, apologising to the 16-year-old schoolgirl for the inconvenience and saying it was working on improving its trains."

    https://www.theguardian.com/environm...rman-rail-firm

Note; not the International News section , the "Environment" section. DB being a little, ageist and sexist, Oh dear.

Book a reservation and travel in comfort

In Germany you can travel on a train even if all the seats are already taken. This may be the case at peak times (Friday afternoon or Sunday evening). Therefore, we recommend that you reserve a seat with your ticket.

Make your journey comfortable and relaxing with a seat reservation. For long-distance trains, you can either book your reservation online directly with your ticket or separately, independently of a ticket.

You can also reserve seats for some regional trains - these reservations can be made at the ticket machines. We are working on expanding this offer for you.

Maybe one day she will be taught about reserving seats on trains.

Don't forget the "First Class Food and German Wine".

One hopes they do the same seating and food upgrade, for all the old farts who use their trains, male or female, the transgender and especially all those who are, or have been, employed by any branch of the Military Industrial Complex.

She posted in reply to their tweet:

Greta replied: "Our train from Basel was taken out of traffic.
"So we sat on the floor on 2 different trains. After Göttingen I got a seat.
"This is no problem of course and I never said it was.
What's missing is that in response to her picture:

Deutsche Bahn replied apologising for the inconvenience and saying they would “continue working hard on getting more trains, connections and seats".
They then deleted that, gave her a first class ticket for the latter part of her journey, then once they knew she was in it, posted their second sneering tweet to make it look like she was lying.

Angry old white men, quite cynical really.
