Anyway, back to the story. It's one thing to accuse but can they PROVE anything. I mean it was 26 years ago.

Probably not. It's all 'he-said-she-said' and the GOP moral outrage machine a-la Christine Blasey Ford would kick into high-gear.

...maybe, but corroborating witnesses (and details) have weight in US courts...in the end they'll probably nail her on tax evasion or something...

I didn't see that bit, where it says the abused girls were 17, which in many parts of the world is legal for consensual sex anyway.

...what happens in other parts of the world is irrelevant as the purported crimes took place in the US. Many of the victims were 14-15 years old, marriage age in the Muslim world but still unable to give legal consent to sex acts in the US. I wonder how the tRumpian AG will approach testimony that implicates the tRump itself...recusal? Nah, he saw what happened to Sessions...

In the case of Randy Andy - The accuser was 17 at the time and states it happened in the UK, no crime regards age, subsequent trysts were up to 3 years later in the US (same girl) presumably no case there either.

I hardly think Andy would have paid for her services (The royals pay for nothing) therefore kinda difficult to prosecute him.

^^The AG might be on some of those tapes also.? The flight manifest for Epstein Island has names right across the political spectrum, business and entertainment world. Allegedly.

Particularly since Maxwell won't squeal about him.

    The damage is solely reputational.

And the BBC interview has left that pretty much in tatters anyway.

I thought so too, and some sources have suggested pre-teen, but Sheriff says 17, maybe he meant Maxwell dismissed the younger ones as unsuitable.

17 it is, Sheriff said so.

Afaik, if an activity is illegal in the US (and some other countries) it becomes illegal for US citizens to indulge anywhere in the world. Also afaik, an adult having any form of sex with a minor whether consensual or not, is illegal in all western countries.

I think it's in her best interests to fully cooperate with those keeping her alive, now that her protection under Berman was blown and busted, name names and tell them where the possibly literal skeletons are buried, not just to reduce her otherwise virtually certain life sentence through a plea bargain, but to take down who knows how many wealthy and powerful punters. I've no doubt that's what her dad the bouncing Czech would do.

Andy's future is in doubt, this could off the Queen, and also threatens a monarchy that could really do without another serious scandal.

Andy has been and will remain sidelined. It is worth noting however that the charges relating to Ms Maxwell relate to the period 1994-97. Andrew did not meet Epstein until years later.

She may throw a few to the dogs but her ‘sense of loyalty’ may kick in and save the pompous prince.

Remember that Alex Jones fans (with the help of that British cockhead that guests on his show) already think Her Maj and Phil have spent their reign raping kids and then eating them.

Dershowitz - doesnít matter what she says that prick will wrangle out of it.
As mamasan, 20m known $$ from 2007-11 plus unknowable extras is significant compensation. But I really don't think she has the stomach for suicide, has no wish to be assisted in that endeavour, and also does not relish spending the rest of her life in jail. If she talks, and it's in her interests to do so in hopes of a deal, she will have to spill the beans on whoever was involved, regardless of their wealth or position, which is a matter of concern to many household names.

By staying silent, or throwing a few winnows under the bus, all of her 'evidence' becomes suspect because it's a stretch to accept that only the low enders indulged but not the powerful others with repeated documented presence at Epstein's venues.

Won't happen, but Berman should be questioned at high level to explain why he knew where she was since December, and made no move to arrest her or even bring her in for voluntary questioning. Not worth a shitfest over it but just my hunch, that he was the cause of this dragging on so long, and it's no coincidence that as soon as he was booted suddenly the authorities 'found' and arrested her.

Seems he had a rather odd shaped penis if witness testimony is correct.

    Described as 'egg shaped'.

Ghislaine Maxwell had ex-British military as security at New Hampshire estate, prosecutors say

    July 14, 2020 at 4:28 a.m. GMT+7

NEW YORK — Ghislaine Maxwell, who is accused of grooming teenage girls for sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, sought to evade FBI detection by using former British military personnel as personal security and wrapping her cellphone in tin foil in an apparent anti-tracing attempt, federal prosecutors alleged Monday.

When the FBI moved on Maxwell at her estate in New Hampshire about two weeks ago, agents had to break down the door and found Maxwell hiding in a room in the interior of the home, according to a new court filing from the government opposing her release on bail.

Maxwell, the wealthy daughter of a deceased British media mogul, was so intent on not being located that she never left her house, sending the security staff out “to make purchases for the property” using a credit card they were provided, a guard there allegedly told the FBI, according to Monday’s court filing. The guards were hired by Maxwell’s brother and worked in “rotations,” prosecutors wrote.

The details of her arrest were disclosed as Maxwell, 58, is expected to face a Manhattan judge for the first time on Tuesday for a ruling on the $5 million bail bond package — with home confinement and GPS monitoring — that her lawyers proposed last week.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s siblings willing to endorse $5 million bond, lawyer says

The U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York has maintained that Maxwell, who has citizenship in three countries including the United States, is a flight risk. She was tracked down at the secluded estate in Bradford, N.H., and arrested July 2.

She was born in France, which does not extradite its own citizens, raising fears among prosecutors that she could leave the country if released and never return to face charges. Authorities have accused her of recruiting underage girls for Epstein to abuse and occasionally participating in criminal sex acts alongside him, saying she “normalized” the idea of having sex with Epstein, her longtime companion, causing lasting psychological and emotional damage to the victims.

Maxwell has denied the allegations, and her attorneys recently said she was estranged from Epstein for a decade before his suicide in August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. She faces up to 35 years in prison.

Which, given the amount of time she has been roaming free, makes you wonder why she didn't hightail it there in the first place.
