Has Democracy been replaced with Idiotcracy ?

Has Democracy being replaced with Idiotcracy and what to do about it?
I will talk about the US, 'cause that what I know but IMO it is a worldwide problem with Brexit, Le Pen, etc.
The dumbing down of America and the rest of the world , for various reasons ( increased procreation among lower classes, working to hard to stay current, bad nutrition, etc etc)is IMO placing a strain on the democratic process where 10 uninformed votes can easily neutralise the informed one.
What to do about it without throwing the baby out with the bathwater?
As my life and the life of my children is increasingly compromised by it, I have thought about ot a lot, and to be honest every solution I come up leads to a slippery slope.
I propose those with a particular Ideology move to an area where such Ideologies are prevalent and give it a go, see how it works for them .
Give it the test of time.
trumpsters move to Alabama and create a trump utopia, Progressives move to progressive states such as NY, CT, NJ, CA and suffer the ills of their progressive ideology . Perhaps after a few years of Alabama they might say, "hey perhaps those progressives have something" or the retard progressives ay NYC might realise that people in Alabama under their conservative utopia are doing so well , they might want to be more like them.
    What do you think?

Obviously we have some problems here. I mean If I were John Oliver I'd say it's worse than the brexit deal /No Deal for that matter.

I'm blaming my mom! That's why I am where I'm at.

Or in reality we're where I was! Nobody's fault but mine?

The problem is probably with me because I don't understand the cryptic language,

I'd say it's worse than the brexit deal /No Deal for that matter.
What is worst than "brexit deal /No Deal "
    Nobody's fault but mine
I agree , and that's why I started this thread, as I said I have thought about it and any solution I can think of leads to a slippery slope , I was kind of hopping someone else who has thought about it has a better idea than me, which IMO should not be hard to do. LOL

Of course we have been talking down. Not naming any specific regimes and though I'm not best example and maybe I should look for more I have seen stunning examples of children with promise that may make their day someday worth a shit.

In Europe and in the USA, politics has become a professional occupation. Even if one enters with altruism at the heart of your cause, it’s all too easy to be seduced by party politics and lobbyists.
A lack of true representation has been elevated to the front. Media savvy and camera friendly wins, over true beliefs. The electorate are seduced by personality rather than content.

To the OP I would say, you’d be better off with Samuel L Jackson running the country. At least he has a strong work ethic.

Just one question. Why do Trump supporters get Alabama?

Has Democracy been replaced with Idiotcracy ?-800px-2016_election-_counties_won_by_trump-gif

These are the counties Trump won, but Alabama, it seems, might make a good home for this group? Your bias is apparent, Bucky.

If you don't know the answer to that question, perhaps you should accompany your children to school.
The popular vote does not determine the winner. If it did, any candidate that won the six or eight biggest cities would win the election.

Why did you choose Alabama? You do know Trump is a New Yorker ...

No. Uninformed, ignorant voters have voted since the first vote on December 15, 1788.
Only difference now is 24 hour news and the internet make us more aware of it.

I will answer your question just as soon as you will answer the question I asked and you deflected
I did not say he won the presidency ,which he clearly won via the electoral college, I said "lost the popular vote" which he clearly did.
    But good try ,

It is not the only difference. The Electoral college does not work the way the founders intended it too. Today's EC is just a rubber stamp as the Electors are just expected to toe the line and vote in the same direction as the states popular vote. That is not how the founding fathers expected the EC to work. The whole point of the EC is the the electors were supposed to in certain circumstances override the will of the people. That doesn't happen anymore. More proof of why the EC is obsolete. Either use it the way the founders intended or get rid of it.
