So I have a theory as to how this damn thing got so close because I do not believe it was a few weeks ago.

Firstly media has been banging away for sometime about how big the mail-in voting was and how heavily skewed it was for the Democrats. Hearing this every night for weeks on end and coupled with the Trump rally effect caused an explosion in right wing turn out late in the game that would have not otherwise have happened. This is why we are where we are at right now.

So here is this. Why is voting information before the day of the election made public? This seems pretty idiotic to me and in this case it really may have had unneeded influence on this election.

It's not hard to feed indignation and siege mentality in the right wing fever swamps, which feeds voter turnout. It's much harder to get the Left to bother voting.

I always thought was going to be close so not surprized where we are now. However, agree the pre polling info really need not be released.

Trump did focus on getting his base energized in the battle ground states but I think he would have anyway. Biden did the same. Both campaigns know the importance of the swing states and naturally focus on them.

End of the day, I believe Biden will win as mail in votes are counted. Watch the gap close in Michigan as I type this.

Going to have to wait for Nev and Penn so have a nice glass of wine n relax.

Update, Confirmed, Michigan is in play down to Trump up by just 60,000. Wayne county Democratic county with a couple of big universities going big Democrat, its still game on. Its emerging in Pennsylvania that most of the votes left are mail in and different forms of advanced voting. Add in Philly 50% not counted, Pittsburg also. Add their suburbs. No nails left I am now working on cuticles. Not giving up.

But Nevada which was called for Biden is in jeopardy. Clark county and Vegas should be showing more. Reno and rural Nevada have voted strong on election day.

You are exactly right. There are more registered Democrats in the US, but they are just terrible about making it out to vote.

I am done with the news for the night. I am into the beer and whiskey, and I am going to check in on it after having a sleep. Enjoy your glass of wine.

Bizarre, utterly bizarre. While I can well understand partisan loyalties this election is different in that the US has the opportunity to redeem itself and appoint a POTUS who is a decent, civilised, articulate, intelligent and proven administrator over a fat pig.

Just what the fuck is the problem?

And his runnng mate is a woman of integrity, intelligence and acumen.

Sometimes, you really have to wonder.

This elections says a lot more about Americans as a people than it does about trump, and it is not a pretty picture.
As I have said all along the fact that it is close it is IMO a loss.
Four years ago trump was elected president, and we said, it was because he run against a disliked opponent ,Hillary. It was because people were hurting and were grasping at straws by selecting trump, etc.
Well , we had four years of trump . and after all he said, after all he did, a significant percentage of the population voted for him again. He was not running against a Hillary this time, we all know what he is and what he supports. there is no excuse.
By law Pennsylvania is not allowed to start courting the mail in votes until after the election, and 70% of the requested mail in forms there were by democrats, so there is a very good chance that Biden is going to win there, and in other states that have not counted the mail in ballots yet, and become president, but the ugliness that voted for trump is not going anywhere, they are here to stay with us for a long time. and as such the US is in deep trouble IMO.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Big one again. The Wayne county deal in Michigan just got better. 40% of the vote has yet to be counted. Todays vote, heavy Democrats. Dont give up hope its prime election time in Thailand.

Good guy presenting IMHO on cnn, the guy who does the big board. Seems very neutral and tuned in.

Its possible, Now we see why Trump wanted it stopped. Mail in votes. Absentee votes. Really its all in play, but its so freaking close.

Other than a Trump win a narrow Biden victory is worst case scenario for the Dems.

Trump will fight it all the way and the people he has radicalized will believe his claims of a stolen election -- there will be a lot of violence and bloodshed.

I’m right behind you. I’ve always thought I would live out my days in Thailand. Now it seems downright necessary to get away from here.

MI sec. of state just said on CNN they'll have a result today.

she repeatedly stressed that every vote would be counted.

and an inference i made from her comments is that the votes left to be counted should be heavily weighted for biden.

I keep seeing from multiple sources that mail ballots are expected to be heavily weighted for Biden.

Why? Cos Trump convinced his supporters it was a bad idea.

Firstly Clark county is not showing as it should. But the early votes are coming in well. Reno and the rural areas are going heavily red. Dems did nothing in campaigning at all.

Seems most of Detroit has not been counted in Michigan.

so much better to move to a country riven with divisions and with a military dictatorship in power, with a long history of military coups whenever democracy rears its ugly head and with harsh laws against free speech, with restrictions for and a suspicion of foreigners, and with oppression of those with views contrary to the ruling elite. to say nothing of the endemic corruption, disparity of opportunity between the rich and the poor and the ability of the monied to buy their way out of murder, theft and fraud.

but at least you dont have to drive far to the convenience store and beer is on tap 24/7 and thats all that really matters.

They did nothing anywhere. There was zero ground game on their part. A very stupid move from a party with a strong grassroots movement when it is mobilized. They should have taken the risks imho.

Utter drivel. Fat white thug gets a shot across his bows and he'll fuck off back to his bolthole and screw slappers, drink hooch and do some meth etc., in between working for his gangers and dreaming he'll win the lottery.

They're scum, feckless, stupid and without purpose.

Who gives a fuck about fat white redneck trash? Trump??? You're having a laugh.

Trump is worried he'll pay his taxes due, the rest can go fuck themselves.

Trump was a ride on the back of a fairground shyster.

The prick will be forgotten in five.
