So turns out Day 2 of the RNC just broke a whole bunch of laws but such is the low bar set for this administration and the normalizing of violations of ethics and democratic norms that it will doubtless go unpunished.

To all the non Americans constantly posting about an election, you can't vote in, what do you all get worked up about, does the election result have any bearing on your future life in whatever country you live in?

To all the Americans ranting about Trump and American politics, though do not live in USA, whats the point?

Didn't you leave the US to get away from the country?

Though now wish to cry about something that has no bearing on you're life, The American stocks and shares that you possess, and your pension should be all that you care about for your future, isn't that enough so you can have a peaceful life in the country you have decided to live your days.?

Why do you hate freedom of speech, comrade?

Also what are you doing posting in a thread that has nothing to do with you?

    For me, it does.

What happens with the US Stock Exchange effects my business/investments and Trump sways that market,
... I need to understand the beast.

    Hence my interest.

I got it wrong with Brexit (sold, but the market bounced), but got it right with Trump (so far).

Well perhaps you need to invest somewhere else then.

Like everything markets rise and fall, its not Presidents that make the markets its good business.

A permanent payroll tax cut could deplete Social Security trust funds by 2023

President Donald Trump has put a temporary payroll tax holiday in place in his latest bid to help shore up an American economy crippled by the coronavirus pandemic.

While that means some workers will take home bigger checks, others worry that such a change could deplete funding for Social Security, which relies on those taxes.

Now, a letter sent this week by Social Security Chief Actuary Stephen Goss estimates that if a permanent payroll tax cut were put in place, it could deplete the program’s funding by mid-2023. That’s based on the change taking effect for earnings starting on Jan. 1, 2021.

The Old-Age and Survivors Insurance (OASI) Trust Fund would permanently run out at that time, at which point no benefits would be payable, according to Goss’ estimates. That trust fund is used to pay benefits to retired workers and their spouses and children, as well as survivors of deceased workers.

Meanwhile, the Disability Insurance (DI) trust fund would run out of funding two years earlier, in mid-2021. At that point, it would also have no money to pay benefits, Goss wrote. That trust fund is used to pay disabled workers who qualify for benefits, as well as their spouses and children.

If I’m victorious on Nov. 3, I plan to forgive these taxes and make permanent cuts to the payroll tax,” Trump said at the time.

If I’m victorious on Nov. 3

Fvck off Chico: How payroll tax cuts could deplete Social Security as soon as 2023

You are right and I’ve been very very fortunate and have thought about never applying for SS benefits in the past.

But I figured that money might be better well spent if I did receive it. I could donate that money……..

Well Bernie sanders would of been the better option,in helping the less fortunate,so perhaps with your wealth donate to less fortunate people in the USA,instead of fucking your country up more by contributing to assholes that only perform for the multi national banking system.

So Fek off landreth and live your life as you do,as a selfish twot.

Yeah never quite understood that one myself. It's a pretty common refrain from some Americans to tell others they are 'jealous' butI don't think I've ever heard any sort of compelling reason why that should be the case though.

Kinda weird to trumpet and random accident of birth like that too.

In a futile attempt to get back on topic, I humbly provide the following.

Another day of alternate reality speeches brought to us by Trump's minions in a futile attempt to draw enough supporters to win.

All while more Republicans move to support Biden.

The 1st lady had the best line so far. A not so veiled shot directly at the lying piece of shit. "We need to elect a president that tells the truth".

Where did she say that, because I don't see it in the transcript.
