all good, but if it were me, i'd have him try to decrease the turnout of trump voters because IMO this is going to be turnout election.

    speak to them directly....

what happened to the repeal and replacement for obamacare?
where's the big, beautiful wall that mexico was going to pay for?
what happened to ending the opioid crisis?
why is DC more of a swamp than ever?

show trump voters that he didn't deliver on his key campaign promises and that he's just another politician, and some of them might not vote.

I would leave out obstruction of justice, I think people are tired of hearing about it (even though they shouldn't be).

    Incompetence? Definitely.

Corruption and nepotism? Get stuck in.

    Economic mismanagement? Sitting duck.

Covid? He could probably bury him on that alone.

The idiocy of these debates is that Trump simply lies and no-one can take hi up on his lies. Real-Time fact checking and corrections would be good.

Agree. He is an inveterate liar and fantasist. Biden should not go head on with him. What was that arguing with an idiot is like playing chess with a pigeon meme......seems apt.

The issue is if you actually can though.

These are people who seem to be completely and utterly immune to objective facts and reality.

Inevitably, the subject of the Ukraine will come up. Trump will attack Biden about his son's involvement with Burisma so Biden must counter and punch Trump hard with his obstruction and abuse of power.

Trump says he supports Florida mail-in voting because state has had two 'good Republican governors' | The Independent

In the state notorious for the hanging chad voting debacle Trump has reversed his position on voting by mail. He says consecutive Republican governors have developed a vote by mail system superior to the other 49 states. Odd since the USPS system which handles all mailed in ballots is the same USPS in every other state. Never one to let facts get in the way of a good fear campaign Trump may be shooting himself in the foot on this one. It seems that requests by Republicans for mail in ballots are down significantly over 2016 because of Trump's campaign against mail in voting while requests by Democratic voters are up significantly. So Trump seems to be responsible for the unintended consequence of possibly suppressing the Republican vote.

The (apparently) 10% mentioned in the article. Boggles my mind that isn't down to .00001% at this stage in the game.

    I'm liking Sarah ...

    ---

Up next is Sarah Becker, a Republican who says she will not vote for Trump at the 2020 election:

I still believe Trump will not win re-election.
The US is still in awful shape with our coronavirus hotspots, and yet his buffoonish response to the crisis remains unchanged.
A lot of people wrote off his antics as amusing and harmless back in 2016, but are now sobering up and seeing this is not the leader we need in times of crisis.

I am excited to see Biden's vice-president selection.
Unless they make a completely off-the-wall choice, I think his running mate will only seek to boost his chances and diminish Trump's, especially if they have swing-state appeal.
It will infuse a lot of fresh energy into that campaign too.

I see baldy orange cunto is still trying to screw up mail-in voting:

He noted that the United States Postal Service (USPS) suffers from systemic mismanagement, and argued it's not "prepared" to responsibly handle a barrage of mail-in ballots.
Since he appointed the manager (a campaign contributor), guess whose fault that is?

"The post office loses money on every package it delivers, which is ridiculous," Trump remarked.
    Again, because of Republicans.

“The Trump administration is mistaken about its claim that the postal service is losing money ‘every time they hand out a package for Amazon and other Internet companies,’” O’Rourke said. “The current agreement with Amazon, and presumably other online merchants, is, at the very least, a break-even arrangement. The reason the postal service is losing money is because of a congressionally mandated retirement healthcare funding program that no other government agency is required to observe. This creates a $6.5 billion annual shortfall that could easily be avoided.”
The solution, O’Rourke says, would involve three steps:
“First, repeal the pre-funding mandate and use the accumulated reserves to fund future pay-as-you-go costs,” he said. “That reserve now has about $47 billion on deposit. Second, adopt generally accepted accounting principles to determine postal service liabilities. Nearly every for-profit business in this country does exactly that. And third, provide Medicare for future USPS retirees. This is precisely what military retirees are required to participate in.”
There is a bill in the Senate (HR2382) to undo this travesty, but the Republicans who slipped it in are refusing to take it up of course.

To be even more specific the USPS is actually a profitable enterprise and that is why the GOP slapped that absurd healthcare funding requirement on them. To make it falsely appear as if the post office is inept so it could be privatized. For them to see "big government" working totally defeats the basic platform of the GOP and it horrifies them. Once again showing that they couldn't care less about the good of the country if it does not fit their ideology.

My usual CBS NY affiliate wasn't working today, so I switched to a Florida one.

Both sides are running ads aimed at Latinos. One was a young Latina talking about the death of her grandmother and how it was baldy orange cunto's fault. Baldy's was some kind of "Love Actually" sign thing. Neither were particularly striking.

What's interesting is that Biden's support among Latinos is 6 points lower than Clinton's was.

You would think the Latinos would loathe baldy orange cunto the way he's gone after Dreamers, the undocumented, etc.

Maybe they feel he focuses more of his hatred against the African American community.

From my experience living and working in California it's often a matter of 'we're here, sod the rest'... 'après mois, le deluge' or simply that Latinos are not a homogenous group. Cubans tend to be very conservative while PRs and others the opposite

Most Cubans in Miami are descendants of the wealthy elite who prospered under Batista. When Castro toppled that government they fled to Miami. The GOP panders to this voting base.
