Like everyone else, Trump has had many defeats in his life, including legal ones. But that is not the point and neither is a measure of a man. The fact that Trump has had thousands of lawsuits underscores my point, namely, that he won't accept defeat, if he can help it, even when the odds are stacked against him.

And if you think anything in the Constitution will save Biden or the Dems, you haven't been paying attention. Trump ignores it at will. But one thing is certain: you and others like yourself may be in for the shock of your life following the election. Don't say you weren't warned my friend.

Trump will ‘pay a terrible price’ in November’s election over coronavirus and Black Lives Matter, professor predicts

“The pandemic, deadly as it has turned out to be, was a chance for him to unite the country, to rise above the political factionalism, and effectively act as the president of the United States in a period of emergency,” Parmar said.

“He didn’t do it, and he’s in big trouble because of that … President Trump has made his bed, and I think in the end he’s going to pay a terrible price, and that price is already being paid by a very large number of American people, both in terms of their health, and also in terms of the economy.”

^ I agree. But it's sad to think that in order to remove this Kim wanna-be from office, the US has had to rely on a catastrophe that will in all likelihood take the lives of hundreds of thousands of its own citizens. Otherwise, this villain would have had a fair chance at a second term. There is something fundamentally wrong with the US.

    Still horseshit.

The fact that he's had loads of lawsuits is simply that he knows a business trick of threatening to saddle small businesses with legal fees.

When he's on an even playing field, he caves.

You can keep coming up with this ridiculous notion, but ultimately baldy orange cunto is a coward who hides behind his wealth.

I know it's unlikely, but it would be the best denouncement of Trump's presidency if every state on the election results map was blue on Nov 4th.

    One can dream.

IMO the only chance we have of regaining a fraction of the standing we once had in the world would be a significant electoral (400+) and popular (7,000,000+) vote landslide. 2016 has to be shown to be an aberration.

if it's a close electoral win for biden, the rest of the world will rightly not trust us because who knows what's going to happen in 2024 (there are now rumblings for tom cotton and tucker carlson FFS) ......and if god forbid trump wins again, it will be the final nail in the coffin.

every four years pols and pundits say this is the most important election in decades....but this time it really is.

Fidel Castro was asked once by a US journo, when the Cuba will get a democratic election?
The ol' good Fidel replied: "I am thinking about it, to found 2 parties, something like you know it. One party named Fidel Castro and the other Raul Castro..."

    Dems: Pro-Corporate, disguised as pro-welfare and pro-secular

Two streams from the same river. At least under the Dems the 99% get a few crumbs of dignity, but the 1% will always be in control regardless.

Again, you're missing my point. Where have I said that Trump is brave? He's not. He is a coward. No one is arguing that. I portray the man as a scoundrel, a person who will use every means imaginable, legal and illegal, to win, and not accept defeat or wrong doing. Have you ever seen Trump apologize?

Out of interest, what do you think paying out millions for his Trump U scam is, if it's not "accepting defeat"?

Doesn't do much for either party.

The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Monday that a state may require presidential electors to support the winner of its popular vote and may punish or replace those who don’t, settling a disputed issue in advance of this fall’s election.

Justice Elena Kagan wrote for the court as it considered for the first time the issue of “faithless electors” and whether the Constitution sees members of the electoral college — whose votes ultimately elect the president — as representatives of the intent of their state’s voters or as independent thinkers.

The Washington state law at issue “reflects a tradition more than two centuries old,” Kagan wrote. “In that practice, electors are not free agents; they are to vote for the candidate whom the State’s voters have chosen.”

In an opinion that referred to both the Broadway musical “Hamilton” and the HBO sitcom “Veep,” Kagan added:

“The State instructs its electors that they have no ground for reversing the vote of millions of its citizens. That direction accords with the Constitution — as well as with the trust of a Nation that here, We the People rule
    .”
