    Certainly didn’t hurt him.
Fox did a masterful job of vilifying her, with everything from Pizza gate, to the Benghazi bullshit. Even then, if Comey didn’t pull that shit at the last minute, we wouldn’t be having this conversation, and our president would not be the laughingstock of the world.

A large chunk of it was.

    Especially the disenfranchised Bernie supporters.

hmm... considering a) that incumbent VP Biden did step aside allowing the Clinton Dynasty another shot at the seat, and, b) Bernies supporters got the proverbial short end of the stick in 2016...

then, c) is 2020 headed for a repeat of 2016 considering Bernie, again, is getting stepped over or shuffled aside...
realizing, also that d) Bernie will never have another shot at the White House considering his age.

Now, if disenfranchised Bernie supporters did, in fact, negatively (or positively depending upon political preferences) impact the 2016 results, can they and/or will they, provide a significant impact in the 2020 contest?

Now, going into this election, it is quite apparent that Donald Trump is the same loud mouthed braggart. He has not toned down his rapid fire biased rhetoric one iota. His method really hasn't changed one bit. It is the same Donald Trump of four years ago.

Are the democrats making a mistake presenting Joe Biden as their candidate of choice?

Granting a few particulars: The economy and the stock market did gangbusters under Donald Trump, historic returns and record low unemployment. Derailed by Covid, not by Trumps economic policies. And the ridiculous amount of political ads everyone is going to be force fed will amplify that until hell does freeze over. Covid will be presented, pretty much as it is, a serious disease with the potential to do real damage to the human race - so, what we will have is the pro-Trump ads purporting that the pandemic would have caused much more damage than it did, while the pro-Biden ads will purport that the pandemic would have caused much less damage if Trump had listened to the medicos.

So, who is going to win - I believe it is going to come down to who can present jobs, jobs, jobs to the Covid unemployed.

And - not to say I'm all that thrilled with either Trump or Biden (the Dems could have done better)

at this point in time - I do believe that Trump will secure re-election with blustery promises and proposed programs to get jobs for our poor folk who suffered at the hands of Covid.

    Biden = 2012 Romney

And, the many, many, many Pep Rally shows that carried Trump in 2016 - rinse and repeat -

the big unknown in this is Covid - if a second/third/fourth wave hits

Despite him not because of him. It was already trending up prior to him taking office.

Hardly an unknown. It is the first crisis of his administration that is not of his own making and he has completely, utterly, resoundingly failed.

Whilst he lies, misdirects, tries to blame others, and picks fights people are dying.

He's a conman whose con is no longer working and he knows it.

But his supporters don't care. Will that be enough for him to carry the vote? Is he stupid enough that he wants a second term?

He may prefer to leave the disaster to someone else. And blame him for every problem. Like Obama was blamed by many for the consequences of the disaster he inherited.

Trump won because he was a political outsider. His win was a statement of the disgust Americans have with Washington and pay to play politics.

Trump could never win. His attempt was considered a publicity stunt and naught but a joke. There was no possible way he could beat the Bush Dynasty and secure the Republican slot.

When he did the Democrats were smiling from ear-to-ear the Presidency was theirs.

And, right up to the eleventh hour - actually the twelfth hour, there was absolutely no doubt in anybodies mind that the Glass Ceiling had been shattered.

    Little did they know...

It will be interesting to see what the people have to say this go around. Will the USA return to the Washington Political Program or give the political outsider Big Mouth Don four more?

Stated another way, Did The Donald talk himself out of a job?
    amen to that,

but the usual idiot snowflakes have a problem with reality and facts, and don't seem to recover from a Trump win, the fools

good point, he could really destroy the Democrats legacy by not going for another term, and let Biden entangle himself in economic misery, and come back for another term after Biden, ala Putin

This is true but the die-hard Trumptards are a minority (albeit a very vocal one) and he needs the support of independents who took a punt on him last election.

And if they haven't been put off by his corruption, crassness, constant scandal and ineptitude by this point then they deserve everything that's coming to them.

Thank you, Obama for delivering the longest period of economic growth in American history unfortunately the orange moron was very lucky to jump on your wave and promptly take credit for something he had nothing to do with. His trumpanzee supporters are stupid enough to believe that bullshit sadly.

Bernie didn't get shafted this time. He lost fair and square and he told his supporters that.

Besides which, the Bernie supporters that were miffed last time have watched in disgust the consequences of their actions, and I doubt they'll make that mistake again.

My guess is he'll get significantly less votes this time. You'd have to be a hardcore utterly stupid trumpanzee to call his administration even acceptable.

You're forgetting the fact that he fueled it by adding at least $2Trn to the National Debt, whereas Obama was reducing the deficit throughout his tenure.

Obama got the deficit hovering around half a billion but fucknuts doubled that, and that was before the Pandemic.

True but that was just pouring gasoline on a fire in an attempt to keep his sacred stock market climbing. The truth is that his "trade war" hurt the economy and drove prices up for the average American on numerous consumer products. Not to mention how bad he screwed farmers.

I dont really believe in polls, but I love this one. If there is a God looking over America let this be true, and happen..
Trump will lose in a landslide because of the economy, new election model predicts

This can cut both ways. I see the argument coming, how is the economic downturn Trumps fault? It is the pandemic. Lots of people will buy into this.
