A lot do and there are lots of big private schools in Seattle. That said it is only primary education that is free not secondary and that is what we were discussing. Aside from that point primary education is wildly inconsistent all across the US as it is locally directed and funded for the most part. So school in rich districts are lavishly funded and are able to pay teachers more which attracts the best talent. In poor areas the opposite is true. So it is not anything to take pride in because primary education in the US consistently ranks at the bottom of the developed world.

Not indoctrinated into shit. Just calling it as I see it. I have traveled through a good part of the country and I can honestly say that aside from Montana or Utah there is not one red state that I have been to that I would consider living in and that is setting politics aside.

Looks like the Democrats should not be counting on the same black support they have had in the past.

Why these black former Democrats are voting for Trump in 2020

"Here, five black New Yorkers — all former Democrats — tell The Post why they’re flipping parties and voting Republican this year."

The New York Post? F**k right off.
Would have been more reputable if it came from Breitbart or Fox.

No I guess I should not have used the word "Primary" I was just referencing primary and high school and "secondary" referencing College.

huge and necessary win for the biden campaign in SC, but the calendar is working against him...super tuesday is only 3 days (!) away, and nearly 3 million people have already voted in CA and TX.

steyer is out and bloomberg will hopefully follow suit immediately. warren, klobuchar and buttigieg will be facing calls to suspend their campaigns, but they'll all likely stay active through tuesday.

of course we're a long way out and any number of things could happen between now and the summer, but this really is shaping up to be a mess....

    1. bernie only ends up with a plurality of delegates
    2. super delegates 'crown' a nominee on the second ballot who is definitely not bernie
    3. bernie bros go apeshit and stay home in WI, MI, MN and PA
    4. trump loses the popular vote by ~5 million and takes the electoral college.
    5. it all burns down.

Yep. Pretty clear no one will get 1,991 pledged delegates on first ballot.

As it is, with Sanders riding a wave of young and easily seduced voters while disliked by those familiar with the likely consequences of his rhetoric if put into practice, Biden unable to string together a sentence without burbling, plus his festering background baggage that would cause a major stumble later on, and Poca never a serious contender, I suspect despite their vocal contempt for rich people other than themselves, Bloomberg will buy his way over those currently standing.

It takes something special to depose an incumbent, and I can't see anyone else posing more than a slapdown challenge to Trump.

It will will be a contested convention. The super delegates will not allow Sanders to be the nominee, nor Biden as they know he will be a disaster in any debateand easily defeated by Trump.Looks like Bloomberg will be their choice and unless all his money can buy him a win his chances are slim to none against any Republican.

While Bloomberg will be coughing up a lot of money, I don't think he'll end up spending as much as he expected to for the nomination, now that he can see up close the pitiful crowd he's up against.

Not that I particularly like him, but I think he's probably the right choice as the only one that could give Trump a scare, win or lose. The others want to be the last gasp big chief for a few months before melting into oblivion.

Although a fiction by John Grisham I recommend his The Brethren with a (not so fictional) plot how to groom a man for president (and finally have him elected) by a strong group (I do not dare to name it here)...

In that case Trump gets his second term and no need for an election beyond the motions.

But, if they don't have an election, how are they gonna soak the general public for campaign donations?

Trump, like Boris, is only winning because the alternatives are so unbelievably useless and deluded.
There are the extremist-fantasists who can't understand why their candidate loses, and reach for some conspiracy.
The conspiracy is a self-inflicted conspiracy of crapness - the Dunning-Kruger party; then there are the facepalming realists, who know they have no realistic chance, and instead focus on trying to attack their enemy relentlessly, to no avail. All preaching to the choir, and totally failing to persuade and convince enough voters to actually win anything that gives them real power. In the end, it doesn't matter how right you think you are, you still have to win an election, and not pretend that you would have won if it wasn't for x/y/z - the scooby doo defence...
