smart money thinks that if biden can somehow win iowa, he has a very good chance of running the table in the early states....and essentially locking up the nomination by super tuesday.

this would be bad news for

    a. the progressive wing of the party
    b. trump

getting ahead of myself here, but if the above comes to pass, the pressure on bernie to bow out gracefully and fully commit to supporting biden will be immense.

Bloomberg is going to run and take votes away from Biden,

Trump is going to be re-elected, thanks to the Democrats and the new pending war with Iran

Nope. Probably a good choice on his part.

"Bloomberg, who jumped into the crowded presidential field in November, is not participating in the debates because he's self-funding his campaign thus does not meet the donor thresholds the Democratic National Committee has set for the debates, though he has polled near the middle of the field of candidates.

Still, his campaign sought to draw attention to his White House run during the Tuesday night debate by publishing a string of tweets, sometimes unusual, explaining why Bloomberg was not on the stage."

bloomberg is not a serious candidate in the traditional sense. of course he wants to be president and has what amounts to unlimited funds, but he knows he has no chance of winning the nomination or the GE. he's already committed to keeping his entire staff on his payroll through the general election working for super PACs to oust trump....which is really what his entire campaign is all about.

As in 2016, it will be their election to lose. Majority of voters dislike Trump, he's a national embarrassment at best and an incompetent criminal at worst.

Once the nominee is chosen then messaging and strategy will be forefront to determine if the Dems can get enough of the independents and casual voters out in mass on Nov 3.

One thing going for this bunch that Hillary didn't have is general likability. That could play an important role this year, too.

Bloomberg has already spent more in States advertising than Obama did in his whole 2012 campaign.

Oh he's serious alright. And the Dems should be seriously courting him, because TV money wins elections.

Plus he's smart enough to chew baldy up and spit him out in debates. None of that "they go low, we go high" bullshit.

he won't win the general election for almost as many reasons that he won't win the dem nomination...and they're not the same reasons.

bloomberg is smart enough to know that he can't win...which is why he didn't run in 2016. i don't doubt he'd love to be president if the stars were to align, but they're not going to and he knows it.

he is running for one reason only....to help defeat trump.

    that's it.

he is not going to defeat Trump, that strategy is not going to work, he tried already in 2016 and was proved wrong

he is going to accelerate the defeat of the Dems and my prediction is that Trump is going to win with a bigger landslide, which is going to put again all the political pundits expertise upside down

the world has changed, and Trump is the perfect reflection of that

Dems are still the old same, can't change and won't change, they are doomed

Reps are the same, but they have the 'joker' card with Trump so they will play it to the end
