I am sure very nice people.

I was elected Master of my lodge in Daytona, a few years back. mostly because when they asked for candidates to take a step forward, everyone took a step backwards and I was not paying attention, and because my Dad was a past master .
I got to head our delegation every time we attended functions of other lodges in Florida and Georgia. And got to meet a lot of Good ol Boys. All very nice people , but a very interesting experience for a nice Greek American boy from NYC .
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

When I was a child my father got a professorship at FSU (Florida State University) and so we moved to Tallahassee Florida. During my last year in Florida the My Lai Massacre happened and Lt. Calley was charged. This was a pretty big deal at the time and my school had a special assembly to discuss it. One student argued that he should be put on trial and another one argued that it was an accident that just happened during wars. Then, everyone voted as to whether he should be tried or not.

To their credit, all of the teacher voted that he should be tried. I also held up my hand when asked if he should be tried for his crime.

I was the only student in the entire 8th grade to raise his hand.

I strongly suspect that most, or even all, of my former classmates are Trump supporters.

Trumpanzees be like.... well dead probably.

A South Dakota nurse has gone viral after explaining her ongoing frustrations with trying to convince COVID-19 patients they actually have the virus.

“Their last dying words are, ‘This can’t be happening. It’s not real,’” Jodi Doering told CNN. “Even after positive results come back, some people just don’t believe it.”

“I can’t help but think of the Covid patients the last few days,” she tweeted. “The ones that stick out are those who still don’t believe the virus is real. The ones who scream at you for a magic medicine and that Joe Biden is … Going to ruin the USA.”

She added: “All while gasping for breath on 100% Vapotherm. They tell you there must be another reason they are sick. They call you names and ask why you have to wear all that ‘stuff’ because they don’t have COViD because it’s not real.”

Georgia's secretary of state says fellow Republicans are pressuring him to find ways to exclude legal ballots

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday that he has come under increasing pressure in recent days from fellow Republicans, including Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, to question the validity of legally cast absentee ballots in an effort to reverse President Donald Trump's narrow loss in the state.
In a wide-ranging interview about the election, Raffensperger expressed exasperation over a string of baseless allegations coming from Trump and his allies about the integrity of the Georgia results, including claims that Dominion Voting Systems, the Colorado-based manufacturer of Georgia's voting machines, is a "leftist" company with ties to Venezuela that engineered thousands of Trump votes to be left out of the count.

The atmosphere has grown so contentious, Raffensperger said, that both he and his wife, Tricia, have received death threats in recent days, including a text to him that read: "You better not botch this recount. Your life depends on it."

That's a very nice village in in Clearwater, and a nice place to visit if in the area,
My Dad was in the merchant marine (engineering engine room) as all his brothers also. A member of our family was a driver in King Constantine's palace , and when there was the military coup and the King was overthrown, all those associated with the king were arrested, My fathers ship was in NY at the time, and if he returned it was almost certain that he would at the very least be detained, so he jumped ship and applied for political asylum.
It is a very long story, and I don't want to derail this thread, but having been through that experience, and having lived in Thailand Gives me an appreciation for America and a perspective that many here don't have.
In my lodge there were many elderly Floridian, and they will tell me stories about their lives growing up .
I 95 was not completed in Florida until 1976!! before then getting around was via local roads. US1 and A1A . One old timer used to tell me that a trip to Georgia (1:30 min to the boarder from Daytona now ) took them a couple of days and they had to sleep in the truck. So they grew up living a certain life, It has all changed for them now. trump through his dog whistles, made them believe he was going to MAGA, and they believed him, or at least hoped he would. What disturbs me is that many, after four years of evidence to the contrary, still believe it.
The place trump promised to take them no longer exists, we need to make a new better place, that includes all the people that are here, because none of us is leaving, so we need to learn to live together. otherwise we will suffer together.
Seeing all the Young people in the streets after Biden won, gives me hope.

If you watch the video above that I posted you can see how deep the dogma runs with these trumpanzees. They are completely brainwashed. On their deathbeds still in denial that they are dying from COVID-19.

The Georgia recount found 2,600 in-person ballots in one country that weren't counted because election staff forgot to scan a memory card from a ballot reader.

It would have been picked up anyway because "...these ballots rectify a discrepancy between the number of people who checked in to vote early and ballots that were counted in Floyd County, located in northwest Georgia."

Of course the trumpanzees are all up in arms about it, but that's what recounts are for and the net gain for trump is expected to be about 6% of Biden's lead.

Meanwhile every other county is reporting the recount matching the original vote.

Georgia recount: Newly found votes in Floyd County could benefit Trump

Even if trump got 100% of the Floyd county uncounted votes, it will not make any difference in the outcome , Biden won 14.000 votes!!

Well, many are - they're dying off from this C-19 stuff.

Thank you for the story, by the way - fascinating.

What I fail to understand is this transition from political beliefs to blindly following a man whose values are so alien to your own, who until insults you (the uneducated) and who lives a life you can never associate with - and who is contrary to political, moral, religious guidelines you've had and held for decades.
It's not just support, it's love and adoration.

We all know that the education system in the US is sub-par, the people are nauseously 'patriotic', incredibly tribal and falsely believe in their inflated self-worth . . . but this attitude to Trump is frightening
