“This is the Trump strategy. It’s to sow chaos, to stir up disinformation, and to organize over social media people to turn out and threaten, harass and, in some cases, even commit violence,” said Free Press CEO Jessica González.

But whether Facebook and Twitter take action against Trump’s social media posts doesn’t stop his message from being spread, said Alex Stamos, a former Facebook security chief who is now director of the Stanford Internet Observatory. In fact, those same claims are often reported by mainstream media outlets because they are newsworthy, he said.

Instead, social media companies should crack down on users who repeat or amplify those misleading narratives, or who create and distribute faked evidence designed to make the narratives seem real.

What would be really funny is if Biden loses Pennsylvania by a few hundred votes, requests a recount and wins it.

I'm sure the bald orange turd would explode.

Does any of this matter? isn't this the same situation we had with Hillary only for her to lose the electoral college vote.
In the end the electoral college is what chooses the president.
    Terrible system.
I read about a year ago that Trump was busy appointing friendly electors.
That bit of news seemed to slip through almost unnoticed.

No problem with the electoral college IMO. The weight of each state should however more closely resemble the propulation. Population has shifted to the coasts and the votes did not follow, if I understand correctly.

The british system with representatives who get the majority in their voting districts is worse.

The problem with the electoral college is unfaithful electors who don't vote the state popular vote. So even though Biden may have won a particular state the electors aren't obliged to vote along the lines of the electorate.
How did Hillary have 3 million more votes than Trump but lost the election ?
    Could it happen again ?

Some states have laws about "unfaithful electors".

Hillary lost because of the electoral college. In some states it might take 150,000 voters to elect one electoral vote. In others (e.g. California) it takes about 3 million. Most California votes are effectively "wasted", but they count towards the (meaningless) popular vote.

    Could it happen again? Sure.

Where did you come up with this? You are wrong. I still do not think you know exactly how the electoral college works. Ya it sucks but it is not because of faithless (not unfaithful) electors.

    Yeah but:

no federal law or constitutional statute binds an elector's vote to anything
    Although:

WASHINGTON (AP) — In a decision flavored with references to “Hamilton” and “Veep,” the Supreme Court ruled unanimously Monday that states can require presidential electors to back their states’ popular vote winner in the Electoral College.
The ruling, in cases in Washington state and Colorado just under four months before the 2020 election, leaves in place laws in 32 states and the District of Columbia that bind electors to vote for the popular-vote winner, as electors almost always do anyway.
So-called faithless electors have not been critical to the outcome of a presidential election, but that could change in a race decided by just a few electoral votes. It takes 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.
    32 states and DC.....

Justices rule states can bind presidential electors''' votes

If there is a way baldy and turtlehead can fuck with the electors, they will.

550,000. That’s how many ballots NBC reports are still outstanding in Arizona, where Biden leads by just under 80,000 votes, according to the New York Times. Local Democrats are hopeful that, even though recent ballot dumps broke for Trump, the remaining ballots will be more favorable for Biden, with Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) tweeting “My district hasn’t reported yet. Looks likes Stanton barely did also. Lots of Dem ballots left.”

The vote is so close in Georgia. Trump 49.6% and Biden 49.2%! Still some uncounted ballots in both Trump counties and Biden counties. What a nail biter.

trump's up in PA....but likely not for long...

“With President Donald Trump leading Joe Biden by 196,000 votes and 12 percent of the estimated vote still uncounted, Pennsylvania Democrats and Republicans spent Wednesday working out the rough math surrounding the as-yet-uncounted mail-in ballots.

“There were more than 1 million mail ballots left to be counted as of 2:35 p.m., according to Pennsylvania’s Department of State. So far, 78 percent of mail ballots have broken for Biden and 21 percent have been won by Trump. If that pace continues -- and it’s a big if -- Biden would take the lead. Looking at the amount of mail ballots Biden is winning as well as the places still to be fully counted, some Democratic elected officials and consultants, including Sen. Bob Casey, estimate Biden will carry Pennsylvania by about 100,000 votes in a tight race.

“‘Biden has been winning the absentee votes by a fairly steady margin, so the math is pretty simple,’ said J.J. Balaban, a Pennsylvania-based Democratic strategist. ‘There's no reason to think that there is going to be a big change in the uncounted mail-in ballots from the ones that have been counted.’”
