IMO , what works for you . should be the well being of your country, not your personal gratification and profit.
Driving campaign buses off the road, planning to kidnap a governors, and compromising your countryman's health to advance your political addenda, should not work for you. I hope you are enjoying the travel restrictions imposed upon Americans by other countries. I know I am enjoying Lostanfound's thread about his travels in Greece, while I am not allowed to go there .

messing around with one of those interactive electoral maps for the 1,000th time...

if trump wins all the states he won in 2016 except WI, MI, AZ and they split ME......it's 269-269.

    Thank you for that link.
I looked at the list of polls and I did not see the Fox news poll that has trump winning by 110%.

Thoughts from the son of old shipmate of mine:

    * The Better Team (Candidate) Usually Wins *

Just before the 1997 Army Navy game, I had some short conversations with a few of my classmates who played football. Navy had lost 5 straight games to Army and all of the loses were excruciatingly close. Most of them were decided on the last drive of the game. I asked them how practice was going or something perfunctory like that. All of them said that they were practicing really hard and doing everything they could to prepare for Army. But one of them said something that I’ll never forget. “We are working really hard but this doesn’t need to be close.” It turns out Coach Weatherbie had told the team “hey, let’s practice hard gents but this game doesn’t need to be close” or words to that effect. That was true. Army and Navy had been evenly matched for years and Army had made the big plays when it needed to win. In 1997, Navy was clearly better than Army on every front. But everyone assumed that the game would be close because of BS “throw the records out” cliches, don’t forget last year-itis, Navy fan PTSD, Navy fan bedwetting, etc. Navy beat Army 39-7 and it could have been much worse. Chris McCoy ran up and down the field all day and the Navy defense was lights out as well. We all saw it coming even if we did not want to say it. What happened in 1996, 1995, 1994 and 1993 was irrelevant. The better team usually wins the game as my friend Mike J. says.

That is how I look at the 2020 election. Right now, one candidate’s campaign is firing on most cylinders and one candidate’s is in absolute disarray and flailing. 93 million Americans have already voted so the chances of any last second surprise mattering are almost zero. Some states including Texas have already passed their entire 2016 turnout. Both candidates have solid bases and both will turn out and vote in big numbers. But Biden’s coalition is much bigger. Right now, Biden is winning women by about 20-25 points, seniors by 10 points, and he’s eaten into the non-college white voter base as well. If those numbers hold, then Biden is going to win big and he’s going to sweep in a Democratic senate as well. There aren’t enough shy voters, quiet neighbors, or 3-legged dogs to make a difference on either side. He’s also going to carry some traditionally Republican states. If anything, there is a really good shot that the polls are underestimating Biden’s support. Why? Most the pollsters have adjusted their models to account for education level. That may not be as important this time around and it would make Biden’s polling numbers look more modest.

Wave elections are hard to tell prior to election day returns. You can see the makings of it and you can hear the storm, but you’re not sure about it until the wave hits the shore. When the wave hits, it is almost always much stronger than you would expect. Does the much better team always win? No, but many times that team throttles the other team. Trump’s approval rating has been mired at 42-44% for years. It is very likely that he will get 45% of the vote or less. It is nearly impossible to find a path to victory with 45% of the total vote. This shouldn't be close.

The key take away. However, getting the vote out in battle ground states is the key to both candidates.

The 230,000 thousand dead and the 90,000 infected with Covid yesterday? Perhaps the 30,000 that very well may have caught Covid at a Trump rally?

If you were commenting on America in general I would have responded appropriately.

So let’s get real a campaign bus was not driven off the road, over exaggeration. The only country I am traveling to is Thailand leaving nov. 19. As far as Covid 19 problems maybe we should talk about the rest of the world especially Europe COVID-19 cases spiking everywhere is that Trumps fault. By you mentioning plans to kidnap a governor as though you think Trump personally told him to do it.

I assume telling me the well being of the country should be what works for is implying I should be voting for an administration headed by the Democrats sorry but but I just don’t agree.Taking more money from hard working people and distributing to who the government sees fit is not what I see benefits my country.

People like you keep posting the total number dead as if Trump is personally responsible for everyone of those deaths do you really believe conservatives are gullible enough to by that. When I came back into the U.S. in March from Thailand were both wearing masks we got into the U.S. and learned the doctors were saying don’t buy masks save them for first responders. At that point they were saying they were not sure how effective they were. Cuomo,a staunch democrat, was transferring COVID-19 patients to nursing homes resulting in many deaths in the nursing homes. Meanwhile Trump was busy funding research into a vaccine and research into medications. Now tell me again how Trump is responsible for every one of those 230,000 deaths.

Except for the fact that cases of COVID-19 are comparable to the U.S. and spiking as we speak and many of Europe’s leaders are quite liberal so yes it is fair to make that comparison. How are all of Europe’s national health care systems working out during this pandemic?

So you're comparing an entire continent to one country.

That alone should tell you the extent of the fail.

I know your not that big of an idiot and I know you know exactly what I am saying,Trump is no more responsible for the entire 230,000 deaths than the leaders of the European countries are for the deaths in their perspective countries. I really expected better from you.

Yes I know what you're saying and also what you are trying to do: you are trying to obfuscate and turd-polish by using a fatuous comparison.

And no, you are wrong, Trump's complete and utter failure, ineptitude, lying and ignoring the science on Covid has led to deaths.

    He is responsible.

Of that there is no doubt. The orange moron made terrible decisions and deliberately hid how deadly the virus was from the American people. The outbreak and death rate in the EU is still far lower than what it is here in the US where idiotic trumpazees still refuse to wear masks because of their freedumb. Most of the states with the highest rates of infection are red states. Go figure.
