Paying out compensation in lawsuits is a moral, if not legal admission of defeat.

Going bankrupt and letting others carry the can is the measure of the man.

I would truly piss myself if he tried staying in power past the due date, but unfortunately the constitution says that the president pro tempore must take over in the absence of any election - at 12:01 pm on 20th January.

Give the number of expired terms in the Senate, I think this would be a Democrat, but I haven't confirmed it.

Rolling Stones warn Trump not to use their songs - or face legal action

The Rolling Stones have warned US President Donald Trump that he could face legal action if he continues using their songs at his campaign rallies.

A statement from the band's legal team said it was working with the performing rights organisation, the BMI, to stop the unauthorised use of their music.

The Trump campaign used the song You Can't Always Get What You Want at last week's rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The same song was used by the Trump campaign during the 2016 US election.

"The Rolling Stones do not endorse Donald Trump," the band tweeted in 2016.

    Biden won't hold campaign rallies

As the US gears up for November's presidential election, Joe Biden has announced he won't hold campaign rallies.

"I'm going to follow the doc's orders - not just for me but for the country - and that means that I am not going to be holding rallies," the former vice-president and Democratic nominee said on Tuesday.

It's a stark contrast to the stance of his rival, President Donald Trump, who held his first campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in June despite health warnings - although turnout was lower than expected and no new rallies have been announced.

Do you believe in satanic, baby-eating child molesters and other QAnon-driven dribble and own a restaurant where servers carry handguns?

Then that's not even the craziest thing because if the answer is to the above is 'Yes' then welcome to the GOP, you stand a good chance of being elected to congress:

Really doubling-down on the Trump / Putin connection now.

This one is a little bit too much on the nose for my liking though:

With 130,000+ and counting dead and a recession not being taken as a hint to maybe do things differently and Trumptards (and the GOP) still pushing Trump's lies then nothing is going to change their minds at this point.

I see there have been renewed calls to get rid of Fauci from some in the GOP because he keeps saying politically inconvenient facts that conflicts with Trumps talking points / lies.

That's where they are at: they'd rather have people die and silence the experts to help out Trump.

    Hard to say.

If everyone who could and wants to vote, votes, he'd be out on his arse.

But Republicans will stoop to anything to interfere with the election.

Closing polling stations, wiping voter rolls, etc.

So it's a question of whether or not they can do enough damage to the electoral process.

On balance, I'd say he'll lose.

Did I actually predict him to win the election? Or did I say something like their wouldn't be an election, or there would be civil war, or voting machines are easily hackable? Still all possible outcomes.

If I actually did predict him to win a legitimate election, that must have been pre covid, and who saw that coming. Though nothing would surprise me. Bush was pretty far down in the polls this far out and still won re election. Maybe sleepy Joe will fall asleep in one of the debates.

Feeling pity for the "successor" that he will have to clean up all the mess left over from his "predecessor".

But that's always the case of every "successor", throwing the blame for anything what goes wrong on his "predecessor"... (beside the blame on any country in the world... - shouldn't they form a "Blame Department"?)

Trump will probably call Putin (who's no doubt told his people "if my bitch calls put him straight thru") to thank him for his support. Trump undoubtedly loves the motherland, where blacks, feminists and gays get short shrift, and where his man crush is allowed to use the military any way he wants.
