Q: How do you make a soft target softer? The gunman admitted the reason he chose his location was due to the softness. Making it softer is REALLY going to dissuade the next tragedy.

    Good idea.

Gunmen can now no longer get their hands on those pointless weapons making it HARDER. Lives are more important than your penis extender.

Anyone pointing out Tommy Robinson is a poisonous little gobshite is to you supporting and condoning pedophilia. Applying your same 'logic' you support and condone the senseless killing of children.

    What's wrong with you, Tex.

The one advantage that NZ, Australia et al have is that they are island nations, thus making it easier to control their Borders.

Unlike the USA which has a Mexican border which leaks like a sieve.

Plus neither NZ nor AU have a 'gun culture' unlike the US.

    ---

If guns are the answer, it was a fairly silly question in the first place.

Maybe the US president needs lessons in humanity, empathy and compassion. It’s called social democracy I think.

There was a Federal Assault Weapons ban in the US but the NRA-owned GOP made sure there were so many loopholes that it didn't really have any worthwhile effect. And of course the NRA-owned GOP made sure it lapsed.

She hasn't banned guns, she's banned military-style assault weapons.

Here's a clue for the mentally retarded:

Number of mass shootings in the US in 23 years (I'll be generous and make that shootings with ten or more fatalities): 16
    Number of fatalities: 330

Number of mass shootings in Australia in 23 years: er, None.
    Number of fatalities: Er, None.

    ^^ It's deeper then that.

Australia doesn't have a 'gun culture'. No 'inalienable right' to carry.

I don't know anyone in Australia, apart from my cousin who is a Farmer and owns a single shot .22 rifle for rats/mice and a mate who shots wild pigs out bush who owns a gun.

We have a 'beer/sport culture', but not a gun culture.

Don't be such a fucking drama queen, there's fuck all happening apart from a load of people saying they're going to run, most of whom will be gone before the debates.

How differs the death from "mass shooting" from the "ordinary gun shot"?

Nearly 40,000 People Died From Guns in U.S. Last Year, Highest in 50 Years

Last year was the third consecutive year that the rate of firearm deaths rose in the United States. While public mass shootings like the one in Las Vegas make up a small percentage of firearm deaths, they have changed the national conversation.

Interestingly, five of the candidates have said they will rejoin the Iran Nuclear Deal.

I only know one who (I assume from his platform) would rejoin the Paris Agreement.

Might have missed this one - apologies if someone posted earlier ...

Democrat Gillibrand calls Trump 'coward' as she launches 2020 bid outside his NY hotel

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Democratic U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand delivered a fiery repudiation of U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday at the doorstep of one of his most famous properties, making it clear she will not pull her punches in seeking to replace him.

“President Trump is tearing apart the moral fabric of this country,” Gillibrand declared to hundreds of supporters, with Trump International Hotel and Tower - which she called a “shrine to greed, division and vanity” - as a backdrop in midtown Manhattan. “Our president is a coward.”

The speech, the first since Gillibrand formally launched her 2020 campaign last week, and its location were intended to show voters that she will attack Trump directly, in contrast to some Democratic rivals who have hesitated to focus on the Republican president early in the 2020 campaign.

I don't know. He's going to attack her anyway, so why not lay into the baldy orange cunto? He can dish it out but he can't take it.

Look how they all ran away from him in 2016 The only one who got near to a piss take was Rubio, when he said if baldy orange cunto hadn't inherited millions from daddy he'd be flogging fake Rolexes in Times Square (which is true). By that time he was already out of money so it was too little, too late.

And then Clinton kept going "If they get low, we go high". It made her look weak.

The fat orange turd has got so much going wrong, if nothing else one of the candidates should be ripping the shit out of him even if it means their campaign is over.

...what will weaken Trump's hold on his base is the prospect of secure health care and other social programs that target the wealthy with taxes...let Trump go as low as he likes...his voters have already seen him in action: they know the insults, the name calling, the false promises, etc...none of that is going to sway them...they need to see the prospect of better lives for themselves and the Dem strategies to get there...I'm paying attention to more of what Pete Buttigieg is saying...not because he's gay, but because his ideas make sense as an antidote to Trump's snake oil...

Trumptards gonna Trumptard, they just don’t care about facts. The ones on this forum are instructive of that — they aren’t even embarrassed about being wrong. It’s all about their feelz.

A Homer named Buttplug. A comedian couldn't write a better scenario for the Donald.
