Slavery was the precursor to emancipation albeit a few hundred years apart. Were it not for enslavement and transportation they would never have arrived at where they are today. Please stop making invalid assumptions about what I am not saying, and read what I have actually written.

If 50% of the population are urban, it follows that the other 50% are not. The urban black population is highly marginalized and confined by poverty, to shanty towns with no potable water. At least under colonial rule, they had jobs. The forced removal of white farmers and lands given to indigent blacks with no support mechanisms has denuded the once productive landscape. South Africa is now headed the same way as Zimbabwe.

The African countries that have prospered lately are all tied to Chinese development funding. Who knows where that will end up?
The fact is that rural blacks are poor and impoverished, denied education, drinking water and technical agricultural support. Dictatorships swallowing resources and butchering their own people in the process. These people are slaves to no reasonable future. Do you believe that Kenyans, Ugandans and western war torn enslaved are better off than those sold into slavery centuries ago?

Author Jordan Peterson is recovering from severe tranquiliser addiction in Russia

Bestselling Canadian author and academic Jordan Peterson is undergoing rehabilitation from an addiction to the tranquiliser drug benzodiazepine, his family has said.



In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Mr Peterson's daughter Mikhaila said he has been suffering from a physical dependency on the drug for eight months, which he was prescribed for anxiety.

Mr Peterson initially went onto benzodiazepine when he had an "extremely severe autoimmune reaction to food", she said, with the dosage being raised after his wife was diagnosed with cancer.

Valium and Xanax are commonly known brands of benzodiazepine.


"He has been in unbearable discomfort from this drug made worse when trying to remove it, because of the additional withdrawal symptoms stemming from physical dependence," his daughter said.

Ms Peterson, who herself gives talks on self-help topics, said her father was suffering from an "endless, irresistible restlessness bordering on panic and an inability to sit still. The reaction made him suicidal."

The University of Toronto psychology professor has more than 2.5 million followers on YouTube and authored the 2018 book 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote to Chaos.

Mr Peterson is a popular right-wing figure known for rallying against "political correctness", feminism and "cultural Marxism".

He visited Australia in February 2019 and appeared on the ABC's Q&A program.

Attempts at treating Mr Peterson in numerous North American hospitals had failed, his daughter said, requiring them to seek an "emergency" detox program in Russia.

"The decision to bring him to Russia was made in extreme desperation, when we couldn't find any better option," she said.

"The uncertainty around his recovery has been one of the most difficult and scary experiences we've ever had."

Mr Peterson himself will provide the next update on his condition, Mikhaila said.
