Inside job?
No, just something not picked up by anyone. The bug bounty hunters will be livid, that would have been worth a fortune.

UPDATE ...
Facebook announced on Friday that its engineering team had discovered a security issue affecting almost 50 million accounts.
Due to a flaw in Facebook's code, hackers were able to take over an account and use it in the same way you would if you had logged into the account with a password.
The company says it has now fixed the problem in its code and reset access tokens for those accounts — along with 40 million other accounts that were vulnerable to the flaw. If you found yourself logged out of your Facebook account last week, it's likely you were affected.
Beyond that, little is known about the extent of the security breach. In its security update, Facebook said:
Since we've only just started our investigation, we have yet to determine whether these accounts were misused or any information accessed. We also don't know who's behind these attacks or where they're based.

The Stop Hate for Profit campaign is the latest movement to use boycott as a political tool. It claims that Facebook doesn't do enough to remove racist and hateful content from its platform.
It's convinced a series of major companies to pull advertising from Facebook and some other social media companies.
Among the latest to do so are Ford, Adidas and HP. They join earlier participants including Coca-Cola, Unilever and Starbucks.
News site Axios has also reported that Microsoft suspended advertising on Facebook and Instagram in May because of concerns about unspecified "inappropriate content" - a development the BBC can confirm.
Meanwhile, other online platforms, including Reddit and Twitch, have piled on more pressure by taking anti-hate steps of their own.

I just wish FB would vanish. I imagine all the narcissistic people posting pics of the food they eat, the new car they bought, the clothes they got, the pics of what they are doing right now that others are not will slip into a mad state of depression. I mean FFS, what would life be without someone "Liking" their update.
I always hear from some "Well I never use it except to stay in touch with friends and family". Well honestly just having a FB acct supports the business. If you look at how society has become anti social yet believe everything that people post is utterly amazing. I have zero social media accts, No FB, no Instagram, no twitter, no Reddit, no Linkedin. None of it. My life is way better for it. If I want to talk to a friend, I call. If I want to share a picture I send an email to the people that matter and its not because I want them to "Like" it. Its just sharing photos.
I honestly believe a good number of people and businesses are starting to come out of their social media comas and asking themselves...WTF!!!!
Die FB....die!!!!!
