At the end of the day, Elon has become just another wealthy douchebag who thinks his financial status makes him a smart guy that people should listen too. Reality is Tesla is tanking and he knows it and why he has been selling boat loads of the stock. Tesla car line is a boring old design that most have grown tired off. There are far too many car makers now that have not only equal performing vehicles, but look nicer. He has become nothing but a social media drama queen and this is a ploy to remain relevant like that ball sack Trump.

Nor does he know jack shit about manufacturing electric cars. His investment and promotion did bring Tesla into selling a fair amount of vehicles but his ignorance about what it takes to create dealership network and life cycle support is already beginning to show.

No, he absolutely does not. He basically stole the company from the men that did all the engineering work and actually founded the company. The fact that more people do not know that fact is utterly appalling.

He took over a floundering startup with a few flawed prototypes and a huge problem with batteries burning. He turned around the startup, formed it into what Tesla is, inluding basic research on how to make the batteries reliable, as they are now. He designed the first production cars, that made the growth possible. Not alone of course but as the driving force.

There are reasons why the big investors still stand firmly behind him.

He made a lot of money from contracts which nobody believed he could deliver on. If not delivered he would get nothing. No regular 6-7 digit salary payments like other CEOs. Just bonuses based on long term success, not quarterly successes.

Paper losses. He is still in the group of the richest people on Earth. Besides, Tesla was and still is insanely high valued. Still valued higher than VW, BMW and Mercedes combined.

I wish Elon would not have gone into Twitter. But he may still turn Twitter around. Twitter as it was, was not sustainable, with insane losses. The previous management knew that at least half of the staff has to go. They did not do it because it was easier to leave the task to Elon Musk.

He's smart and understands consumerism hence idiotic vehicles like the cybertruck and tesla cars that use huge amounts of power on heavy vehicles to produce huge speeds for bitcoin and dot.com millionaire's (and low-life wannabe's) egos - light functional electric cars using far less minerals/resources would be a massively superior answer to the planet's resource problems (but, your average idiot consumer wouldn't be interested).

Going to Mars? How about cleaning up this beautiful planet first? He's on a par with trump.
