Without defending Spacey, his victim has over the last 30 years told people about the episode. Nobody spoke up or advised him to speak up, it was that innocuous, and since Spacey has no recollection but admits it may have happened, the victim could say anything and decided to (by his own admission) only because of the "me toos" of Weinstein.
