Indeed, shooting up, soaring away into the stratosphere, blasting off like a rocket propelled by the unanimous belief of global traders that Brexit was the bestest thing to happen to Engerlandia since the US saved it in WW2, it has catapulted from the pre-FTA agreement basis point, where it has languished for four years representing a Brexit attributed devaluation of 20%, to its new apogee, a veritable zenith of achievement in which sterling has now increased in value by a whopping....................................two cents.

Without doubt, as a demographic Brexiteers are the stupidest folk currently in circulation.

    ^^

No doubt there will be further turmoil in the weeks and months ahead SA, however it's my personal belief that much of the doom and gloom being espoused by the Remain centric media and (usually former) politicians will be proven wrong. Take the hysteria over new export paperwork required for goods crossing the channel (and Irish Sea of course). In the main, these shipments are repetitive, varying only in quantity for shipping details. By and large it will be a cut and paste adding new container numbers and press print. Like any new system, it will take a short period of familiarisation before becoming routine.

    Learn to love change.

I think you will find that, as I posted earlier. Barnier was withdrawn and substituted by the former German defense minister, thus allowing the EU to capitulate at the last minute.
That much vaunted civil servant from Brussels was blocking any deal for four years. Once removed, deal done.
Make of that what you will.
NB for Cy, the only grammatically correct full stop is death.

Your version of the facts, switch, are never quite the facts are they...

So Barnier states that the negotiations require decisions at government leader level means he was sidelined? An interesting point of view, but let's not forget who addressed the EU on Christmas Day with the details of the deal. Not something a person that has been sidelined would do...

    And who capitulated?

What deal is there for the UK Service Industry? Who backed down with their demands on Fishing rights?

Compromises were made on both sides.

    Clot.

Oh, is that what you think you're doing?

I think I have a clearer understanding of your virulent hatred of 'The Guardian' now.

A combination of both. Only Spanish citizens and permanent residents allowed, but a cock-up with the papers.
