The Irish fishing industry would be hit hardest by the proposed deal of all the EU Member States, he said. “We are being the sacrificial lamb of the trade negotiations . . . This is akin to no-deal for us” he said.


The reported concessions to hand back 25 per cent “absolutely” gave too much to the UK side, he said.

What do the Irish expect? Self determination of the right to fish in their own waters? The freedom to negotiate their own economic rights, independently?
Why it almost seems to like another member state would prefer the rights of a sovereign nation, over the collective bargaining rights of an unelected civil servant, working for the European Union. The paddy has been shafted by the EU, not for the first time.
