    Brexit - It's Still On!-capture-png

Here you go - the idea is now starting to be pushed forward in the media. Seeds being planted to get people asking this (this in a poll in a news paper). Next will come the opinion pieces, questions by stooge "journalists" and here is the big one, Farage will be wheeled out again to eventually say "we have to extend but definitely come out in 2 years".

If you doubt it you have no comprehension of the UK states nudge unit, the Behavioural Insights Team that exists to push the sheep public into line with desired outcomes of behavioural change. Happens in every western country of course. Clowns thinking "ah but I wouldn't be swayed by that, thinking that being part of the greater majority of the nodding donkeys mean they escaped haha. YEs - you are special, yes you are immune to their antics.

Reading for those who can read

StackPath from .instituteforgovernment.org.uk/ a document called MIndSpace from the cabinet office.

Extend Brexit transition during COVID-19 crisis - gov.scot

Let's get serious: we need to extend the transition period with the EU | Brexit | The Guardian

Full steam ahead. Tory's have always been the EU party, through thick and thin, advancing this agenda, and they will make it happen.

SK, Germany and NZ didn't stop the virus, wtf, are you listening to the news, numbers of infected are still increasing. The consensus with experts is that it's still here and will continue spreading, period.
And despite being so well informed via your 'reliable sources' you managed to come up with the conclusion that the "numbers of infected are still increasing" in named countries? May I suggest that you change your source of input, the current one clearly isn't doing that well...

So, for the rest of us who are intelligent enough to READ and can differentiate between 1 and 5 (for you, Dragonfly, let me inform you of the shocking fact that 1 is less than 5. No, really, it's true!), here are some statistical facts (the "numbers of infected" are NOT increasing in the aforementioned countries):

With your latest posts in mind I simply have to ask. Are you:

    2. Donald Trump
    3. Biff Tannen
    4. Plain stupid

Please answer in your next post. Thanks

jesus christ, are you all that gullible in government offices? let me guess, you are a Tory?

as usual, with idiots, they are looking at the wrong stats. The daily increase/decrease is misleading and means fuck all. It's like saying the DOW is hitting a high after a 50% decrease because it has one day all time record increase of 5%

daily infections numbers are misleading, they are prone to seasonality, collection delay etc... any statistician newbie know that. What you need to look at is the CDF or the total exposure of cases, and these are increasing in every country and will keep increasing in the coming months, unless the virus does have a built-in seasonality in it, in which case it will come back in October after a summer pause. There is a small consensus building around this.

the only strange thing about all this is why Beijing and Shanghai wasn't infected to the same level of Europe, when those cities are closer than Europe or the US. And there was no long prolonged complete lockdowns in Beijing and Shanghai, apart from the usual social distancing.

again, rate of increase in statistics is different from total exposure or the "impact" of the data you are collecting and analyzing

daily rate increase is the idiot and short sighted way of looking at the infections overall, great for journalists, PR and the headlines though

so we are not done yet and new cases will be piling up everywhere until nature decides to stop,

Mr McAllister, chairman of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, said the EU had signalled its willingness to agree to an extension in the face of the coronavirus crisis but said the UK had categorically ruled this out.

I was saying it on here from before the bloody referendum. No matter win or lose, the UK will not be allowed to leave. Problem is though, Dutch want to leave now, France will bounce as soon as they are free to protest again. Its not good for the EU junta.

Oddly enough, this 'EU junta' is represented by 27 countries and is partly led by France and the Dutch

Politically we've already left, economically well strapped in; now we have new choices, which way to go, either leave the one we're in or return to the one we left.

Either way it's looking bleak, esp on top of the virus which nobody could have predicted but will surely influence many outcomes. Add to that an incompetent and untrustworthy gov, and the uncertainty we had through past years might be a bright memory over what's to come.

The idiocy of Brexit will have to be allowed to play out but unlike a good farce there will be no fairytale ending, there is no deus ex machina waiting in the wings to rescue Britain from its inevitable economic decline.

The COVID disaster has simply hastened the process and ensured the recession will be more grievous than what would have ensued had it not occurred.

In some ways I 'm enjoying this not least because the ragbag, inept dross that is this current government is unravelling by the day and becoming more rattled with every beat of the funeral march that is announcing its descent into the ignominy of utter failure.

If the UK could leave without any deal and operate under WTO, they would have done so already. There have been plenty of opportunities to do so and each has been ignored in favour of making a deal with the EU. The UK decides to set a time limit, the EU says okay we need you to provide details of NI control by June. Will the UK be able to do this? I don't think so, nor will the UK be able to do so by December. This needs to be done because otherwise the GFA will be compromised and the US will walk away as well as the EU, leaving the UK in an even worse position.

It's all quite simple really, the EU has a strong hand and lots of money to back it up, the UK has nothing but bluff. The transition will be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and the blame will be put on the EU for bully tactics.

And the downside of a huge election victory is often that the opponent you've beaten gets revitalised, and their previous voters have a habit of just voting against the status quo.

And now, as the alternative to EU membership, you are the status quo.

The country is about to find out, in a manner that not even the least perceptive can miss, just what an utterly shit job they're capable of doing.

Covid is a lifesaver for the gov, just imagine how much of the Brexit cost/loss/£/bankruptcies/unemployment they can write off against the virus, most people will swallow it even if grudgingly, while the handful of smart journalists/economists that dare to speak will be tarred and dismissed as Remainers.

When the first Brit wanting to return to his Costa del Sol flat for a further three months and is refused entry because he will breach the 90 day stay in 6 months rule will be th time when the lumpen morons realise they are screwed. COVID won't change a damn thing.

Well, people don't always vote intelligently, or in their best interest. I know two Brits who have a place/live in Holland and Spain - both worked for Philipps for decades, mostly overseas. Both voted 'leave'. Both regret it now. (similar to many Trump voters; got caught up in the maelstrom of populism . . . both regret it )

Surely they are a minority, but still . . .
Intelligent professionals whose nationalism and election crap made them do something stupid

There are many articles suggesting they did. SA linked to them ages ago. Expats in Spain voting Brexit and regretting it. That's what media hype and populism does...makes people vote against their best interest.
