You posting personal attacks does not count as a reasoned response.
By law, civil servants are obliged to be apolitical, especially in the higher echelons. Your attitude to the UK, it’s government and it’s people is at odds with such impartiality, even if you were only a junior clerk.

That he thinks his silly rants constitute a thesis worthy of debate is typical of the delusional thinking that came with the internet when the lower end felt compelled to express their incoherence, ignorance and illiteracy in the belief that others would actually credit them with an opinion worth more than a gerbil fart.

Poor Chas, let it go, stick to your pulp fiction, your blue collar tastes and the mundanity of a futile life slipping slowly into oblivion.

Personal attacks again. You claim superior intellect, and knowledge of a bloated and unwieldy service, which has held the UK to ransom for decades, yet you are unable to offer even a modicum of defence against criticism of the CS antiquated practices.
You are incapable of defending the indefensible.
This is typical of the service you claim to have belonged to. Intransigence, delay and obfuscation on a massive scale, just to avoid the admission of being part of the organisation that has ruined the country.
You and your ilk have been doing it for decades. The ability to do and say nothing constructive over a generation. How proud you must be of that achievement.
The lack of a civilised and coherent administration, has led governments to move critical functions away from your purview, to private agencies, just to make any kind of progress, not for idealistic political reasons, but just to make basic functions appear routine.
Cue more buffoonery from an unhappy dead person.

Prag, vilifying the nazi doctrine but excluding Hitler, eh?

Chas is actually the personification of the propaganda disseminated by UKIP/Tory trash/Goebbels Cummings that glorious Britannia's rightful place in the world was denied by a conspiracy of EU evildoers acting in concert with a British civil service representing the elite secret society of Remainers blah, blah. blah.

It was a fucking stupid, vacuous fantasy only credible to fuckwits, morons and the deluded. Distinguishing utter bilge from the fucking idiots propounding it is impossible, the two are inseparable and deserve opprobrium equally.

You of course are too lumpen to understand that.

Have you ever thought of becoming the economic correspondent for R.T. or Shinwah? The figure includes the U.K. The biggest 4 being around 64% of total euro GDP with 24 countries accounting for the other 36% of GDP. Out of the remaining big 3 Germany, France and Italy, france has a debt to GDP of around 100% and Italy over 130% debt to GDP. The remaining economic minnows in the EU have a combined total of 7 trillion between 24 countries.
Australia's 1.3 Trillion would put it at around the fourth largest economy by GDP in the E.U. Not such a minnow when you know how to interpret figures.
In addition the E.U. has a 39 billion trade surplus with Australia so the EU can hardly afford to dictate to Australia. Australia is rich in natural resources unlike the E.U. who buy most of their gas from the country that they spend billions of dollars on the military protecting themselves against.
Quoting EU GDP etc etc is pointless and facile. Countries trade with countries. If Australia's surplus was with luxembourg it would represent 100% of Luxembourg's GDP. If it was withdrawn do you thing luxembergers would be walking around saying it doesn't matter it's only a fraction of Euro GDP? Are the Greeks happy that their debt is only a small fraction of Euro GDP or Italy for that matter with France not far behind. They are deadmen walking without the advantage of currency controls to reflect their economies and debt. Germany is holding up the house of cards. It just remains to be seen how the wuflu will affect the union it has already shown some "every man for himself" philosophy when the chips are down and will the Germans be willing to fix the problem yet again. The Poms must be kissing their ass they got out just in time.

Australia is nothing more than a glorified quarry for the Chinks, but most of what it wants comes from the EU which is its second largest trading partner.

Eat it up, in trade terms Britain is no more significant to the Antipodeans than the Thai which puts things on the map.

The EU will no more collapse than the United States will.

This Armageddon scenario so beloved of you Brexit numpties is no more than wishful thinking by a bunch of marginalised English blue collar oiks sucking up propaganda from tenth rate politicians.

You are history, COVID has plunged you so far into recession you still cannot comprehend it. I said before, Brexit chopped 2% off growth, COVID another 5%.

A WTO Brexit will kill you stone dead for a decade.

Trouble is with all this partisan feuding is that it is irrelevant. Even 10 years of economic depression is fuk all. Sure its relevant if you have to live through it but its bugger all time wise. The world and UK will move on and the memory of even being in the EU will fade, it will just be another period the UK went through - there were at least 4 decades in the c20th worse than what faces us - so yeah we'll suck it up and move on.

Thank you Chas, I cannot recall a more perfect example of transference. Your debasement in wretched solitude amid your fellow soaks and other social detritus, languishing in third world feckless turpitude, is the inevitable terminus to a trajectory that was inevitably downwards.

    Never mind, it's all dross.

It is interesting I suppose to speculate upon the paradoxical phenomenon of a rather dull-minded, poorly educated and unimaginative creature who manifests no insight into their own grievous inadequacies yet claims to recognise them in others albeit through no process other than the imaginary.

In the final analysis it may resolve to some form of atavistic behavioural response to a stimuli present in the subset of homo erectus that spawned the genetic accident we now recognise as Numfuktwat.

Any thoughts from other quarters, perchance?

Australia's top 5 trading partners in order:
    1: China
    2: Japan
    3: South Korea
    4: United Kingdom (apparently insignificant)
    5: USA
Leading the year over year increases consuming Australian Export goods were: U.K, up 192%, China, up 20.4% Vietnam, up 14,6% and Singapore, up 8.7%.
Germany is way down at at no 15 ( behind even Thailand) at 2.1 Billion dollars in exports compared to an apparently insignificant 10.4 Billion to the U.K.
Percentage of exports to the whole of Europe (excluding the U.K at just under 4%) was 5.4%, as compared to Asia, 79.9%
Oh just another little statistic. Germany is the second largest importer of iron and steel in the world. Australia has the largest iron ore deposits in the world.

The thickos here actually share a characteristic they have in common with many Thai, one can't tell them anything and their innate disinclination to learn inhibits development and contributes to cognitive impairment.

But the thing is, Huge Cowpat is yet another Dunning-Kruger statistic so the poor sap is as aware of his dim-witted ignorance as a blind wombat is of Alpha Centauri.

The irony of those comments is inescapable.

It might help if you and PH used the same statistical sources.

PH please note that the EU now consists of 27 countries, and not 28. Your stats are therefore out of date.

Using EU stats is not a very good idea because they are written by the EU themselves. They should be avoided at all costs if you desire any kind of credibility.
SA gets his figures out of thin air, so they could be suspect too, as they differ considerably to your source.
