Michel Barnier has tested positive for coronavirus. The EU’s chief Brexit negotiator tweeted that he was doing well and following instructions. He said: ‘I would like to inform you that I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am doing well and in good spirits. I am following all the necessary instructions, as is my team'.

But that does not discount the EUs response to the CV and its implications till they were rudely shaken up, or Brexit, or it's goals or other socio/economic/political strife which I fully expect to leave it in irreversible decline.

Er, incompetence, waste, abuse and corruption are all part of Brexit, together with borders, sovereign jurisdiction etc, seeing as those are some of the reasons for it happening in the first place.

As I have said previously, EU trade with the UK equates to a mere 3% of its combined GDP, vice versa, its 13%.
