I will go on that UK betting website, on the bet exchange I am sure some idiotic Brits who believe in Boris propaganda is giving some nice odds like 2 to 1 for the extension

got a nice 100% gain on my last 100 GBP bet for Brexit not to happen in October 2019

You joined the EU, profited from it for decades, now we have you by the balls, and will not be satisfied until you are on your knees asking for forgiveness

I’m officially confused now. SA has moved from, “the British fishing industry is a minor contribution to GDP and certainly not worth negotiating”, to the be all and end all of all negotiating positions.
When you were informed that the French and the Spanish were concerned about future fishing rights, you dismissed it as of no consequence.
Now you seem to have changed your tune.
To the UK. It’s a minor bargaining tool. To the EU, it’s actually only important to the French, so the UK can get stuffed. So much for the collective ascendency of the 27.
You are a two faced muppet SA.

UK fishing rights are a local coastal issue for the EU, unfortunately its a vocal one which plays heavily on presidential votes. I hope they get told its a one year deal...

Yes, I feel the level headed Teutonics are going to reluctantly have to excercise their authority, and put a brake on these Francophone pipedreams.
It's the Golden rule- he who has the gold, makes the rules. Modern Germany is way too sensible to subsidise a folly.

Nope, I mean literally fed them. Without the bailout Greece would have been even worse off. Damned if you do, double damned if you don't

Not going to happen . . . either way the Brit papers would have a field day and roll out the old war medals and Dad's army reruns. Anything to deflect from their own problems

Anyway, a Belgian Wallon French wannabe may not be the best source of info

We are going to have cracking entertainment between now and July as Trade talks and budget setting reach their critical apexes, Pres Micron is battling a lack of fraternity on all fronts and Turkylurky reneging on its immigrant agreement.

Oh and the spiky rhetoric coming out of our former club increases as its true colours show through even those wearing rose tints.

Never mind the humanitarian angle, when Erdogan moves his hand toward the refugee tap the EU will start to squirm. Won't take much more stress to visibly improve its momentum.

Then we can all head to peace and quiet in Algeria.

Erdogan already has. The EU failed to address the root cause 5 years ago and Turkey have just been stock piling so the taps are open. If the EU wants to be a world political player like the speccy wanker says then they are going to have to start acting like one.

    meanwhile, in the real world

Brexit: What to expect from UK-EU trade talks - BBC News

So this is it. After three messy years negotiating the UK's exit from the EU, Monday is the day that trade talks finally begin between the two sides.

David Frost, the UK's chief negotiator, arrives in Brussels in the afternoon, armed with 100 advisers and civil servants, preparing to spread themselves across 10 working groups, focusing on everything from fishing to financial services to truck drivers' cross-border access.

Negotiations are to take place once every two or three weeks from now until the summer at least, alternating between Brussels and London - with the prime minister insisting a deal must be struck by the year's end.

On the edge of your seat with excitement, are you?

Thought not. But should you be?
