They are even smaller when looking at per capita contribution and % of GDP.

indeed, a lot of silly EU projects going nowhere

the H2020 is one example of wasted money, all the big corps like IBM, Oracle, ATOS get funding for nonexistent tech projects so they can pay for their internal R&D and staff, squeezing out any innovative tech funding


now the new EU female President acknowledged this, and want to change this

most firms getting the funding were also British with ghosts projects

Y'know, if we see a new honed down, lean and mean, biz-like EU that has dropped it's silly megastate dreams, and actually holds it's flakier states accountable to their budgets and promises- quite a few Brexiters might even have second thoughts.

Careful now, that's the main reason you still have them hooked. Won't be long though before others do more than eye the exit, that should cheer you up.

the UK budget fallout is going to be a shock for the EU27, and you know what, this is good.

The UK leaving sent a strong signal to the EU commission not to take EU members for granted, no matter how ridiculous they are in their demands (ie. UK)

now time for the UK to get fucked in the negotiation with Barnier, and that should complete things nicely

I can't wait for SA input on this matter

I really think the challenges facing the EU are more serious than those facing the UK. Perhaps a good rethink is in order, starting with "What really is the EU?"
