ok you are making valid points too, but Euroseptiks didn't happen overnight, it was deeply entrenched in the mentality

and the populace got manipulated at the right time by the devious Torries,

will it be a big loss for the UK? of course, you benefited greatly from the EU, but you were also a pain in the ass to deal with, and even more so after the financial crisis, as you correctly pointed out

the point is it was bound to happen, the seeds were already planted, they needed the rain to flourish, and it did rain, quite a lot

when things go wrong, everyone will have a tendency to retract into a fetal position,

and Brexit is the fetal position the British feel comfortable with in that stage,

I don't think the UK will recover from Brexit, politically and economically

it will be the dominant topic for the next 40 years,

Another dreamer in denial. I’m so happy UK won’t be involved when the currency and the socially engineered union collapses. Not fit for purpose. One size does not fit all. France will pull the pin. Bye.

Butters, the residual anti-EU mob since the 1970s were an eccentric, stupid, racist bunch of idiots and overblown dinosaurs that couldn't reconcile themselves to the reality they could no longer exploit the working Joe anymore. John Major in 1991/1992 called them all a bunch of 'bastards' which was perhaps the kindest description. Anyway, they were not a force in British politics and most derided them for being either weirdos or merely superannuated old tuskers and not of the real world. But the key thing pervading the narrative was a low class, blue collar oikish demographic that lapped up the cheap racism generated by the Sun newspaper against the French - East Europe wasn't even heard of then. But politically, they were zilch, a piss into a flooded gutter, a squitter in a cesspit.

But come 2016 and 6 years of misery .......yep, fuck Cameron and fuck austerity.

It's an accident of fate but you are right, it is going to fuck England fir decades - Scotland will be independent and Ireland will be united.

Correct, and to put it bluntly, Brexiteers' overvalue how loved they are on the continent . . . here's a vid clip from a German version of the Today Show, just funnier. I'm posting this for OhOh who asked for multi-lingual input. The first half is about Brexit, the second about Megxit

    (It has subtitles)

so why did they dominated the whole situation if they were a minority? I don't think they were to be honest, and I think you fooled yourself into thinking that the anti-EU resentment was not deeply present in the majority of the population. 52% no matter how controversial, is not a small number.

The civil servants and the intelligent elite knew it was a mistake, but they are a minority

the majority is always brutal and stupid, hence why you need an intelligent elite to manipulate them

it turns out the dumb elite got in control and used all they could to survive their own stupidity, with the help of the dumb mass, too happy to be manipulated with stupid shit

England in 10 years will be like a small offshore Caribbean island, maybe a Singapore, a place for the rich and famous, with a struggling middle class and a lot of poor people working for nothing

Au contraire. I represent the middle ground. They were tired of being fucked about by socialist pedants like you. Small men with tiny minds, who ruled the roost, whichever government was in charge.
You, and your beloved civil service wankers, have been thrown overboard, simply because the “blue collar oiks” have had enough.
The world is run by real people, not small minded, entitled elites. Get used to it. Wanker.
It matters not, what you say anymore. The real population has spoken. Get over it, you entitled whimp.

You ought to be delighted with Brexit, it's been a convenient diversion from structural faults within the EU. And talking of the EU, do you honestly believe it will be around in more than name never mind 40 years but just ten from now?

    Nice little hedge, there.

So, you reckon the European Parliament will be disbanded before 2030?

Why diversion? People are quite capable of focussing on more than just little England

Yes. Believe it or not, the EU wasn't and isn't reliant on England by a long shot

Delusional thinking is the main determinant in Brexiteers formulating their conclusions and there it is.

I don’t think anyone suggested it ever was. The EU as an organisation is flawed and corrupt. It’s also unbalanced. The inherent flaws and continual drive toward federalization will result inevitably in failure.

Fortunately the UK will no longer be a part of that downfall, and will bear no resonsibilty for the ultimate collapse.

blue collars are there for one purpose, serve the elite

under socialism, they get more right and their purpose is recognized as sacrifice for peace and economic development (see the international socialism ideals, a very beautiful idea)

so Chass, by your own logic, the real people you really care for just voted for their slaughter by a ruling elite who is simply looking for their exploits

you are either blind, or just not smart enough to see the dots

The French don’t bother with elections. They have prolonged riots instead. Shows how little you know.

To be fair, I quite like French. If they disagree with a law, they just ignore it.

Looks like France are insisting the EU negotiating stance is that the UK is closely aligned to the EU across a range of areas.

    WTO here we come.

    Well what did you expect?
That you would be able to make money out of exporting your american imported chlorinated chicken into EU?
The same goes for gene manipulated beans.
You'll be eating shit in the future but please keep it for yourselves.
