Ownership of property in the UK does not confer citizenship, residence rights or permission to remain. Laws do that. The EU citizens who have been resident in the UK under the European Regulations will continue to remain but they must register and they must apply for settled status. If they do not qualify under the current proposed agreements ( that are yet to be ratified ) then they go.

Equally, ownership of property in the EU does not confer rights under the Schengen rules, nor indeed does it qualify you under the European Regulations.
