Did Chas "have" to leave Samui?

There has to be a back story there. Living on a beach is fine for a while but unless one has a business or employment it soon palls and an escape to a metropolis is a vital decompression chamber to get away from the pressures of living on a 'rock' or some beach ghetto. Which is why Samui is a fine choice because of its proximity to BKK etc.
You get stir crazy in Bali and you go to Jakarta........????

Hw must have done something stupid, inappropriate or otherwise fucked up.

Chas was a NAAFI manager with the BAOR and I think spent time with the wind and sheep down on the Falklands NAAFI.

    Poor chap.

Sorry to disappoint you yet again, but I don’t do cities, I’m a country boy at heart. I don’t need to be told what’s good for me, I can work it out for myself.

If only you and Cyrille got it right once in a while, your precious assumptions might be amusing. As usual you are both wrong again.
Points awarded for the German conneection. I lived there for 11 years. Falklands, yes I visited after the war was over.
Koh Samui yes, I lived there for 10 years. Some times working, sometimes not. I left because, when you have been fucked about by serious professionals, the amateurs at Thai immigration get boring very quickly.

The rest of your personal fantasies say more about you than they do about me.

Despite all the sturm und drang of BoJo the Clown's election bluster and piffle-waffle announcements that there will be no extension to the Brexit withdrawal, even in the face of the catastrophe that is Covid, it is now inevitable it will be postponed until 31/12/22. The blathering maestro is now in hospital and may well be soon boarding that ferry across the Styx in which case Dominic " Where is Dover " Raab, the stand in clown leader for the Tory Carnival of Fools, will sign off on the extension as already announced by his erstwhile leadership campaign manager.

My, how fickle fate makes fools of us all.......

Developing pneumonia is not auspicious and at the current rate in the UK less than 50% of those requiring intubation survive.

It would be sad to lose him, after all said and done he does have a certain charm as many narcissistic liars do, but Cummings can go to Hell in a basket for all I care.

yes, extension of 2 years for Brexit is in play, as we all expected, they just needed the right justification for it, and that one is quite justified

Testing the supply chain is an unexpected consequence of coved 19. Despite a few predictable shortages, the supply chain seems to be both sufficiently flexible and adequate.
It is of absolutely no consequence that Cyrille, SekkingAss and Butterfly remain intransigent Neanderthals.

Note their absence of excitement over the New Labour leadership.

Indeed, why on earth the dribbling buffoon should be wittering on about supply chains in the context of the UK, a sophisticated services based economy that derives 80% of its GDP from the supply needs of its consumerist society, is a mystery. Did he think all the lorry drivers were going to get sick all at the same time. The poor sap evidently suffers from the same stupidity that afflicts Raab C Brexit who failed to understand that a 30 minute delay in customs clearance at Dover would have the annual 3 million lorries that use Dover stuck in a traffic jam extending back to the M25 in a fucking day.

Trying to draw an analogy between Brexit and COVID in terms of fettered trade within the loss of a frictionless market is really quite bizarre but then that's Brexit for you, a victory for the stupid, the deluded and the frazzled.

At last Britain will have a new Labour government in 2024/5.

Carry on making a mountain out of an inverse mole hill you clot. There are probably 3 months or more of stock already in the supply chain, bought and paid for by the end users. Another months worth not yet sold but held by storage companies.
Dover continues to operate as normal, for now, as do the east coast ports.
The only fly in the ointment, is a shortage of chilled storage.

The supermarket supply chain has been tested by fools panic buying. The result is zero shortages. How you fail to understand simple logistic systems is typical of any fool who moves paper around a desk and thinks that is part of the real world.

^ nice and cheap moving them now with fuel price so low, so is Sausages predicting another world ending event in WTO. One thing this Pandemic will i think change is logistics and a rethink on supply chains - useful in redressing the UKs trading partners.

I'm pretty sure the EU will have their hand out to the UK to help subsidise the Franco-Spanish-Italian disaster, so that should be a handy bit of leverage come negotiation time.

It's all academic, took a virus to do it but Schengen is finally being recognised for what it is, a dreadful ideological death trap, the Euro will be left crippled when this is over, the EU's Union mantra is seen by a half billion souls as pure claptrap when the chips are down, and what else, er, is there something else that might attract the remaining 27 members toward full union?

Oh, free trade, that's right, but how does that work without free movement and a hopefully sooner than later reversion to real currencies?

Fcuking got out by the skin of our teeth; nice one, bojo, get well soon!

Given that the UK was never a member of the Schengen agreement, did not adopt the Euro and enjoyed full derogation rights in matters of national interest, it is really quite difficult to understand from your incoherent and febrile babblings what it is that the UK has escaped from by quitting the largest, wealthiest and most benign trading bloc on the planet.

Poor Jabber, after all this time he and his dribbling coterie of xenophobic old soaks, loony halfwits and semi-literate blue collar oiks have still failed to inform us of what it is they hope to achieve, economically or socially, after Brexit that they couldn't obtain before Brexit, beyond of course the usual vapid and vacuous blathering about independence which in truth is merely a cloak for nothing other than their bigotry and prejudice.

As Einstein said, only the Universe and stupidity are infinite but he wasn't sure about the former.

Brexit is just another arrow in the quiver of human imbecility and you Jabber are merely another archer serving its purpose with, clearly, great distinction.

    Har, har.

Not sure what you're on about but it looks like a neat sidestep, as ever with the squirrel cheering you on. But seeing as you pretend to like facts, here's one to chew on: UK does not need to be a member of Schengen for Schengen to be dead in the water, any more than we would need to hand over our £ before the Euro could be mortally wounded.

There ya goes, cold hard facts, Schengen is belly up and the Euro is soon to follow; but wait, maybe you can save these pillars with a few choice ad homs.

    Har!

What do you expect, 27 nations with different languages, environment, needs, economy, social and political structure, ethics and interests and more, all have to agree each item before it can be implemented. Much better to give all the power to a few key individuals and tell the others that their call matters, the democratic way.

    Heyo squirrel, over to you...
