Gosh, you probably needed a lie down after that, Huge Cvunt.

I see the markets are taking another hammering and are now at their lowest for nearly a decade. Brexit is truly getting off to a flying start.

All those overpriced equities heading south, all those bankruptcies waiting to happen compounding the already gargantuan debt liability the average Brit nurtures promises a fun summer indeed.

All those super-duper global deals selling unicorn dust to pixies will turn to alum in their mouths now that the global recession has begun.

As they say, timing is everything and a global slump leading to world-wide recession promises to nail those Tory hopes to the wall of ignominy.

    Har, har.

Its delicious irony that Sausages takes pleasure in the misery of others, forgetting that he is ensconced in a shitty flat whilst tied to some bloke he can't export back to that land of the tinkers. His days gazing out over sewerage bay whilst he dreams up his next post on TD... living the dream eh. Har har har.

^^What does that have to do with Brexit? Sorry to deflate your balloon, but the fact that the UK no longer can be railroaded into bailing out the various EU banana republics may well prove beneficial.

well actually this could be good for Brexit, forcing Boris to be more practical by giving up to EU demands

the UK alone will not be able to stand that blow,

I really don't see how it impacts Brexit negotiations one way or tóther. As usual, the main bother will be the more fragile Med & eastern European banana economies.

Britain will be fine , our clever Bank of England governor wisely raised the interest rate to 5% during the good times, enabling us to now stimulate demand, by slashing it in the coming months....

    Quite a devastating day indeed.

I'm glad I don't have any exposure to the stock markets.

Interesting to read Ivan Rogers', the former British ambo to the EU, speech in which he says the current deal being pushed by the ERG Orcs and Goebbels Cummings is no better than a no-deal and in terms of strategy, its bluster and hard-nosed bullish sentiment is misjudged and unlikely to faze the EU negotiators.

All in all a fine day for we Jeremiahs; death, pestilence, economic ruination and the fall of empires.

Brexitania's birth is heading for a miscarriage.

I suppose poor old Numfuktwat is on piecework being a labouring artisan. Times are going to be hard indeed. Bless.

The Shengen zone can look forward to a quicker spread of the virus. The Don has got off of his ass and banned europeans. The Euro zone already teetering on recession will fall over the edge shortly. The Brits must be having a huge sigh of relief they finally extricated themselves from that rusting hulk the SS Euro.

He really is the equivalent of a dextrous simian that has chanced upon a keyboard with internet access. I should imagine in his jaunts to Thailand he fetches up in Lopburi with his in-laws.

Other major economy interest rates are already close to zero, hardly slashable.

A joint statement said: “Given the latest COVID-19 developments, EU and UK negotiators have today jointly decided not to hold next week’s round of negotiations in London, in the form originally scheduled.

“Both sides are currently exploring alternative ways to continue discussions, including if possible the use of video conferences.”

ffs just get on with it and use E conferencing like most have for years now.

The pound has been dropping against the Euro from a bout 1.15 to 1.12 (and a bit lower), so this will not help EU exports to the UK... It'll just be cheaper to buy from outside the EU.

It's gonna be a tough year for everyone, but especially the EU - many problems for them this year.
    Cycling should be banned!!!

Very amusing. You really are good value as a figure of considerable fun.

Indeed, those thousands in Britain who are brand conscious and wish to identify with the higher end of the product spectrum will now eschew their Mercedes, their BMWs, their Audis, their VWs, their Miele, their Bosch, their Smegs, Ferraris, Alfas, Maseratis, not to mention the Peugeots, Renaults, Seats, etc, etc. and buy what?

As I said before, EU trade with the UK constitutes 3% of their combined GDP, vice versa it's 13%.

Britain is screwed 23 ways to Xmas, a poor performing and devalued currency, a broken manufacturing economy about to lose unfettered trading status with its largest market, a debt laden population that is bedevilled by the vagaries of a gig job market teetering on the edge of bankruptcy and now its productivity rate is about to be slashed by a viral contagion.

All it needs is a prolonged wet and miserable summer to tip the country into the cold dark days of a stagflation winter that will last for a decade,

    Rule Brexitania!

Mr Sausage, whether it's the Brexit thread or the Corona Virus thread - at every stage, proven wrong. Yet, he just keeps digging.

A meaningless statement... Here are some important figures - with particular note are the figures to the far right:

As external markets go, the US and UK are very important to the EU.

Hence, and even Mr Sausage should be able to work this one out..., if the Euro strengthens against the dollar or pound then those products become more expensive and consumers in the US and UK are more likely to buy alternative products such as Korean cars instead of German.

Actually, that would just be a continuing trend - UK buying less German cars and more Korean cars:

The very last thing the German car manufacturers want is the Euro to strengthen against the pound and/or dollar

Mr Sausage, you must be trolling because it's impossible for anybody to actually be as stupid as you (excluding Cyrille, obviously...).

Source while you're trying to fill holes that can't be filled quickly.

Just admit that the UK will suffer and this back and forth will be over. Yes, the UK will suffer by any and all metrics - one should not wish the country to suffer, but it will.

a badge of pride . Come on BB, you must admit that's funny. People are still going to buy quality products, like it or not

I guess when the Japanese and German car manufacturers have pulled out you can beckon in the Hyundai, Kia and . . . umm . . .
Eventually the PM can be driven around in a Hyundai Sonata

Q: Why don't you ever provide links?
