Sausages is a CS, always will be and doesn't understand what is going on because its not written down in some 1/2 foot thick manual. Its all posturing, the EU start point sees us no better off than being in the EU, the UK counterpoint is WTO...blah blah blah.

TBH, they will probably still have some access to UK waters in a sweetheart compromise. But not the same obscenity as before, where Brit fishermen have to watch industrial trawlers plundering their resources, while they are confined to port. And, most importantly, the decisions re quotas etc will be made in Westminster- not Brussels.

Good thing the EU has banned electric pulse fishing then,as the fuckers won't be able to fish us out of the waters.

She was referencing the London Agreements signed up to by the NW/Baltic states in the 1960s that provided for mutual access to coastal fishing grounds to take into account the not entirely insignificant fact fish breed in one area and then fuck off to another to feed but each species has differing characteristics and in an attempt to smooth out feast/famine fishing trips they sensibly drafted the terms of the London Agreement.

Gove gave notice of the UK's abandonment of this practice that has worked successfully for all parties in offshore coastal waters fishing for over 58 years.

If Gove wants to fuck this and play hardball for his master Goebbels Cummings then two things will happen immediately on 1.1.21: an EU wide tariff will be slapped on British imports eroding competitiveness and the French will blockade imports and trigger EU-wide sanctions.

When that happens the British fishery industry will go bankrupt in a month - there is no other market for that 70% of its catch.

Everyone knows this so why are the Orcs fucking around when there is no dividend they can win?

Because Goebbels Cummings and the chief Orcs need a victim in the propaganda war against the EU and the fishermen are the patsies.

The British are now led by some very seriously deranged folk but the sheer fanaticism of Goebbels Cummings in driving Britain into the US federal orbit knows no bounds and in truth is quite frightening in its extent - fucking the relationship with the EU is paramount and represents the main thrust of BoJo's foreign policy. Cummings not only wants to kill EU alignment, he wants to bury it forever.

You idiot, Hull and Grimsby were the pelagic deep sea fishing ports that trawled in the Atlantic. Their demise had fuckall to do with the EU. Their primary catch was cod and this ended when it approached extinction levels. Are you stupid or what?

One of my oldest friends was a trawler hand in the old days. He hated the work and it soon went the way of hop-picking, cleaning old people's arses, washing cars and working in market gardening. No fucker wanted to do it and in the end many just capitalised assets and sold their quota licences to the Spanish who didn't mind working for their living.

Such high handed arrogance, telling everyone how they never had it so good, how lucky they are, their grievances have no merit, etc, etc. Just like a francophone bureaucrat.
