What deal? The only agreement so far is the withdrawal act ratified by both the EU states and the UK which merely created a transitional, temporary platform maintaining the status quo until 31 12 20 during which time a future commercial and trade relationship could be thrashed out. In terms of a 'done deal' the only issue that approximates to a more durable agreement is that which affects citizens and their legacy EU rights in both jurisdictions.

If, as the Orc/Tory crazies seemingly want, there is to be no frictionless trade agreements then it is clear a WTO/Third country status is to be sought.

That happens then Britain will be cut loose from the modern world and will return to a bureaucracy and cumbersome rules-infested infrastructure redolent of the 1960s.

The new points based system signed off by Paki Patel/BoJo is a case in point - it is arbitrary, bureaucratic, riven with qualifications and technical exclusions that achieve little advantage and will be a nightmare to implement. Also, if it is to follow the Australian template then th economic migrant and his family will have to hoof it back to whence they came if the job folds afar arrival - no swapping into another field of employment and if it is location based but the work disappears then no moving to another county/city even if a job is available and the employer wants you.

Its bollocks and worse than what is operated already.

Patl is profoundly stupid and simply cannot evaluate options but in introducing this so-called points based system and reducing the wage threshold from £30,000 per annum to £26,500 sh is opening the door to Indian migrants in IT/Catering etc which she wants to increase having done a deal with Modi.

"Fuck the EU christian whites" and lets have more Indians.

You may find the Aussie points system is fair, they have a system also that if your approved and you work in the outback for a specified amount of time you can claim permanent residency/Citizenship.

Erm Sausages you clearly haven't been around IT lately as there is already loads of them here in consulting roles, as for catering that's the bailiwick of Bangladeshis.

You know fuck all so stick to your earth moving and the like, you oik.
I think you may find the numbers of Bangla/Indians has certainly increased over the last 3 years in the catering industry, since the eastern Europeans started to leave.

Err, no. I was explaining the background as to why Paki Patel wants to change the system following her many visits to India, and to its premier Modi with whom she is very friendly. Modi has made it clear that any future Anglo/Indian trade deals will be contingent upon relaxing the visa regime in respect of Indian nationals.

Joined the fucking dots have you?

Reducing the minimum Tier 2 salary cap is the beginning of the deal.

The irony of a bunch of Brexit xenophobes and racist bigots booting out East Europeans in favour of a tsunami of wobble-heads is actually quite delicious. Somehow I don't think the northern knuckle draggers of Sedgfield and Doncaster had this in my mind when voting for BoJo.

    Goodness gracious me.......

    Brexit - It's Still On!-farage-png

The iconic ‘he’s lying to you’ sign used to mock Nigel Farage during a parliamentary debate is to go on display at the House of European History in Brussels. Labour MEP Seb Dance scrawled the note during a debate in February 2017, not long after Britain’s vote to leave the European Union, in a moment he has described as of “pure rage and anger”. “I decided I had to try to do something and, noticing the empty chair behind him, I made a sudden decision to grab a piece of paper and scrawl a simple message on it,” he explained at the time.

The images went viral around the world, tapping into a frustration their opponents felt about Brexiteers’ conduct before, during, and after the EU referendum campaign. The sign will be displayed alongside other objects and documents related to Britain’s contribution and departure from the European Union.

Talking to The Independent, Mr Dance said: “I loaned the House of European History my sign as I thought it provided another side of the Brexit story.
“It is of course (so far) a victory for Mr Farage, but there is and will always be opposition to his brand of politics.

It doesn't matter to the racist. He's having an argument with himself over the lowering of the financial threshold, quite frankly from what i see its doesn't appear we are lacking for sub-continent IT consultants or curry chefs but hay ho.

I Know that you oaf, she's a second generation corner shop migrant of Gujurati stock that saw the writing on the wall and left before they got booted out by Amin. If her attitude now had prevailed in 1960s Britain then the ghastly woman would not be Home Secretary. I use Paki Patel because of the alliterative euphony.

but some Brexiteers have some very valid arguments,

the EU is static, and popular votes are frowned upon by the EU members, Brexit is a wake up call

The UK want flexibility and Brexit could achieve that, take back control of their own destinity

this is commendable in so many ways, even if it's suicidal

I think the UK is going to face a labor shortage at some point and that will stop any recovery they could have got with flexibility,

maybe they could form their own EU initiative

Indeed, they are going to traffic Asian dross on ganger agency terms without any rights to residence and subject to curfews except of course they will all claim asylum and that'll be that.

Long gone are the days they could rely on the Irish and with the EU pulling up stumps in their droves they'll have no one they would want and will be forced to rely on indigenous trash - the horror, the horror.

Butters, if I had a £20 note for every time I heard a Brit publican/hotelier/ B & B owner thanking his lucky stars for the east Europeans in preference to lazy, indolent, feckless, shiftless English tossers I'd be a rich man indeed.

Having toured the Highlands and Islands recently I can safely say that when the EU folk are barred from working in Britain on 1.1.21, the Scots leisure industry will be well and truly fucked.

I would wager that the economic boom of the last 20 years in the UK has been primarily driven by the flow of immigration, the highest in any European country

like free movement of capital, when you kill immigration, you kill jobs and economic growth, it's mechanical

which is why leaving the EU common union was the biggest mistake, not Brexit in itself

all done without a vote about it, just stupid Maybot looking for fame and legacy

it will be her legacy alright

Erm you mean they won't be able to hide behind the EU Court of Looking Out for Criminals, its turned into a travesty given its roots but that's what you get when you set up an institution and then staff it with career meddlers.

Regards the Scots, i'm sure they'll get bar staff from somewhere.

Funny how the EU supporters forget how we have 2.4 billion in the commonwealth and is a much bigger market than the EU, I'm sure the trade deals that are cut with them, will provide an ample supply of workers to fill the gaps, and we will be able to have security checks on all.

Yeah great, we can ship fucking stilton to Fiji. Or maybe they’d be interested in hiring some financial advisors?

And on the workforce front, doubtless BREXITers will be thrilled to be replacing Parisians with Pakistanis.
