I see Sinn Fein is leading the polls in Ireland and the pound has slumped following bojo's sabre rattling, which increases the possiblity of leaving without a deal.

Brexit: Boris Johnson says 'no need' for UK to follow EU rules on trade - BBC News

Boris Johnson has set out his vision for a trade deal with the EU, saying there is "no need" for the UK to follow Brussels' rules.

The PM called for a Canada-style free trade deal, saying the UK would return to the Withdrawal Agreement if such a deal was not reached.

But the EU's Michel Barnier said its "ambitious" trade deal offer required a "level playing field".

Labour said Mr Johnson's "ideology had trumped common sense".

The party's leader, Jeremy Corbyn, said the PM risked trade and investment in the UK if he kept "undermining collective agreements".

Under the EU-Canada deal, import tariffs on most goods have been eliminated between the two countries, though there are still customs and VAT checks.

The flow of services, such as banking - which is much more important for the UK - between Canada and the EU are much more restricted.
Good luck with a Canada deal in 11 months; if it's all or nothing then we're looking at an 'illegal' extension, nothing new there.

They've only got 10 month, negotiations starts in March.
Oops they've only got 8 month, the deal should be done before end of October.

Oooops, the deal between EU and Canada took 7 years to finalize.

Impressing lumpen BREXIT thickos with his Thatcher-style defiance.

    It's all for domestic consumption.

Doubtless Barnier wil be unconcerned as this also came before his previous abject surrender.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that either he or Cummings gives a fig about Britain's best interests.

    ^ wrong.

"No Deal" Brexit works much better for the UK than EU. It's time for us to play hardball: you want Gibralter? Fuk off. You want fishing rights? Fuk off. How about you get nothing, we get nothing and we do the rest as we go? What, you want to offer more and take less...

As I said before, it took 10 years for the Sino-Australian negotiations to conclude in a trade deal and that was when the dividend was hugely win-win for both sides.

BoJo is an idiot, and Raab an incompetent headbanger who didn't even know that 3 million lorries exited Dover every fucking year to the EU.

Everything coming out of this ragbag government of talentless orcs is stage managed by Goebbels Cummings whose sole input is to present bollox in a pretty bow of implausible euphemism fooling no-one except the lumpen, credulous, deluded Brexit indoctrinated Brit ignoramus.

The negotiations are scheduled to begin in earnest in a month or so and must arrive at some sort of consensus by October.

Laughably, Gobbels is demanding that Brexit is now completed and no civil servant should henceforth use the term again unless it is in a historical context. Black is the new white, up is down and lies are truth - welcome to 1984.

Gibraltar cannot function if La Linea is closed and blockading the port could be completed by three trawlers. So, if the Spanish wished they could simply wait three weeks and then walk in.

British fishing accounts for 0.04% of GDP but 61% of that is derived from Scottish sourced exports - I rather think the Tory orcs do not want to provoke th sweats any more than they have already. If the UK provokes the EU coastal states and they respond by boycotting British catch then it will destroy the British fishing industry in a month - the vast proportion of British fish/safood exports are to the EU and if they impose sanctions or high tariffs then the British will go bankrupt because they have no other markets to whom they can export and make a profit.

Britain is weak and vulnerable. Only an idiot would believe BoJo's puerile rhetoric and the world knows it.

If BoJo is hellbent on hard Brxit and WTO/Canada/Wallaby lite then the financial services, car, agricultural, fishery and aero industries in Britain will be devastated. £60-100 billion drop in GDP will be certain.

Well, Mr Sausage, seems as you've been consistent in: 1) being wrong at every turn; 2) consistently giving wrong numbers, taken out of context and misunderstanding the actuality of the figures... thanks for your support.

What you mean I was wrong in forecasting a contraction in GDP growth, a significant devaluation in the currency, a decrease in manufacturing output, a widening in the current account deficit, a decrease in FDI (by 20%) and an inevitable move to Scottish independence and a radical change to the political landscape.

Yep, all never happened and the unicorns are prancing around sun dappled uplands as we post, eh Battyboob?

So your forecast about Ireland washing its hands of its dimwitted neighbour are coming true too.

The only forecast you made was USD parity with GBP. Everything else you pretended to forecast already happened. You are NOT the fount of knowledge and understanding that you claim to be.

UK is definitely better off without you. Please take Farage with you. He is another fool waiting for the inevitable not to happen.

No, and this is where you go wrong time and time again, Leave lost.

Look, can you not read? The entire reputable economic establishment of any note, both domestic and international ( I of course exclude the numpty eccentrics and assorted loons jumping on the Brexit gravy train ) have all stated that in the event of Britain losing its frictionless trade with its EU market of 500 million consumers, a mere 22 miles away from its distribution network, the impact on GDP will be a reduction of around £60 -100 billion annually with no prospect of compensation from other markets not least because the UK has had pretty much free access to these global markets over the years and has failed to capitalise on them because there is no demand and profit margins are negligible.

Stupid is as stupid does. Again, what product is the UK going to sell to the world that it couldn't sell before Brexit that will outweigh the losses in financial services and manufacturing trade with the EU?

Sausages, we get it, risk scares the shit out of you and all your generation of cosy pen pushers.

It will not be free to leave the committee. It is difficult to overcome restrictive trade practices and that's why most countries legislate against it but here we are facing a whole bunch of countries who'a very existence relies on these outmoded illegal means to survive.

Its either pay inside the committee and continue to die slowly alongside the rest, yermany aside or like a toddler we have to learn to walk again, explore the world and live or die by our own sword - its risky ...something that comes with challenges but no person or country has gained anything by repeatedly stagnating.

Change is in the wind, not the wind that blows past your flat.

Piffle and waffle. The risk of failure and loss, and in truth it's a certainty, is taken by the businesses and the ordinary workers whereas the only ones to gain are the tax evading carpetbaggers hoarding funds offshore and their political lickspittles whose tenth rate ambitions are served so admirably by the sleazy, lumpen and extremely stupid Brexit masses.

BoJo and most with functioning brains were all remainers but when they guessed the stupid northern oiks wanted to fuck Cameron and Osbotrne for austerity they jumped horses to serve their own egregious slimy ends.

But when the wheels fall off then those very same lumpen hordes will want their revenge fir the lies sold to them.

You guys just don't gt it, do you? There is no way this is going to end well.

Leaving the EU without a deal is anathema and there is no way the ordinary Joe is going to gain any advantage.

Instead of less, you are going to get way more bureaucracy and the creation of barriers we haven't seen for 47 years.

It's so fucking stupid yet you still cannot see it. More tariffs, more certificates of compliance, more taxes and duties, more insurance costs, more expensive travel, more expensive imports, less work opportunities in a huge continent 22 miles distant and a huge immigration bureaucracy to be administered to regulate our 500 million neighbours because the Brxit nazis want to treat EU citizens the same as coons.

That's the future - it's the past and it stinks.

SeekingAss, Brexit was a necessity, a cultural necessity

you guys wouldn't fit in, since day 1

moaning about it is pointless, it already happened, sure it could have been done differently, but you had a stupid PM who didn't know her arse from her head, so it was bound to happen in a chaotic way

thank fuck Barnier saved the whole thing, or you would still be in REMAIN mode

When the whole of Britain was riding high on the crest of the biggest property boom in history in the early noughties, buying up flats and houses on cheapo self certificated mortgages, hoovering up cheap credit from companies that were lending money to dead people, buying flash motors annually and going on foreign holidays three times a year was the norm not a single person gave a flying fuck about moaning about our EU membership.

It was only after the crash and six years of austerity, low wages and no salary increase that the mood changed and 17 million fuckwits actually believed the Kipper/Tory shite that it was our membership of the EU that caused all the problems.

It was Britain's take on nazism but instead of the Jews it was the Poles et al.

Brexit was not inevitable, it was not necessary and it was not a solution, it was a victory for the stupid, the deluded, the ignorant and the xenophobic, bigoted racist.

It was our Trump moment, it was the time when demagogues realised they could appeal to the lower end and win.

It isn't moaning, it's fucking grieving and I together with all my peers will never accept it as being anything other than a knuckle dragging tragedy and one that is offensive to anyone with any decency, intelligence or virtue.
