and here we go, change of tone before the WA was signed off

Brexit: We won't take your rules, PM to tell Brussels - BBC News

Boris Johnson is to say he won't accept alignment with EU rules when Britain negotiates a trade deal with Brussels.

The prime minister will use a speech on Monday to toughen his stance ahead of trade talks following the UK's formal withdrawal from the bloc.

EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier will also set out his approach to the talks, which are due to start next month.

It comes as European leaders expressed sadness at the UK's official departure from the EU on Friday.

In what is being described as a comprehensive speech, Mr Johnson will tell the European Union he is prepared to accept customs checks at Britain's borders if he cannot secure the sort of trade deal he wants.

Speaking to Sky News' Sophy Ridge on Sunday programme, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the UK would not have "high alignment" with EU rules.

Alignment is "not on the negotiating table", he added.

Responding to the PM's plans, shadow health secretary Jonathan Ashworth said: "We don't want to see any watering down of environment standards or workplace rights."

While acting Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey accused Mr Johnson of pursuing "a scorched earth policy".

BoJo and his Goebbels orc are truly now in their own cocoon of Brexitania mania and seem to think the EU give a flying fuck if they go hardcore WTO.

Reminds me of that Blazing Saddles scene when the coon sheriff pulls out his gun before the angry crowd and points it at himself threatening to shoot if anyone comes nearer ..." come any closer and the nigger gets it".

    BoJo is that nigger.

While the UK has decided to drive full steam ahead into the past, driven by Nationalism, I hope the EU has learnt not to push too quickly towards federalism. The EU needs to consolidate over this term and try to find the best way forward. It is unlikely to fall apart, just slow down a little.

It is full on towards a federal superstate then a communist heaven... But, it will fall apart long before then.

I don't think anyone seriously considered we may default on a legitimate obligation, could be something went wrong in translation.

But what chance do you reckon Brexit will happen?

Nothing new with you missing the point; that nigger was a few steps ahead of the mob, saying I'm the sheriff and if you don't want me you can deal with the bad guys.

Here's where we agree and differ. The EU gods should have learned that many people are unhappy with their route toward full union; I don't think they will. And that will lead to its downfall.

BoJo the Clown is to announce today that he prefers tariffs and quotas to alignment.

So, the Brexit loons who slated the EU for being both protectionist and bureaucratic are now in favour of trade barriers and more bureaucracy.

Yep, that sure is taking back control.

And they are just too dumb to appreciate the irony.

The CBI, trade associations and NFU are only now becoming aware of the horror that awaits them all as they adjust to the commercial realities of an antiquated British economy rooted in post-war failure.

Schadenfreude, my favourite dish when it come to feasting from the stupidity of the English lower end.

What is 'full union'. anyway . . . countries will always have their individual governments, state and federal and the structures behind them

There will not be a 'full union', I don't believe from what I have read, there are plans for a full union, only further expansion. Therefore, there will be no downfall based on that and I think you'd be surprised at how many support the EU on the continent.

Brexit rhetoric spouted by demagogues for the lower end would have their devotees believe that the EU is a distinct entity in itself that has the power to overthrow individual member states and force the creation of a superstate against the will of the people who will be denied the right to vote.

Mad as cut snakes, we are now living in the Age of The Stupid and there it is.
