EU seeks power to penalize UK in Brexit transition
The EU wants a post-Brexit transition deal to give it power to restrict UK participation in the single market if Britain violates accepted rules, a leaked document shows. The EU would do so only if the European Commission decided resolving an EU-UK dispute at the Court of Justice of the EU would take too long, according to the document.
Essentially, the 'secret' Brexit analyses, soon to be made public, report that under all assumptions Britain will lose substantial growth with the NE, West Midlands and N.Ireland being hardest hit. In monetary terms, the losses are expected to be around £120 billions annually although perceived gains from Brexit are expected to reduce the loss by £40 billions. However, most pundits are questioning the accuracy of those gains which are based on assumptions that there will be deregulation even though the government has conceded that this will not necessarily be policy.
Putting it into a perspective the ordinary Brexit moron might recognise and understand, the losses will equate to nearly the entire annual NHS budget.
And what will be the gain? Three million Brits currently in Europe may have their rights to movement and work within the 27 countries curtailed, 65 million British citizens will no longer be able to move, settle, work or visit within 27 countries for longer than 90 days without a visa, trade barriers are to be re-erected, the Good Friday Agreement will be no more, British farming and fisheries will now have to rely on doctrinal Tory nazis for their annual £3 billion subsidies and the rightwing fascists will reclaim sovereignty although they have as yet been unable to explain exactly what it is they will gain apart from the exclusion of hundreds of thousands from the workforce currently supporting our fucking agricultural industries, the entire care industry, a significant proportion of the construction sector and 20% of the NHS and ancillary agencies. Oh, I nearly forgot, and a fucking stupid little dark blue/black passport it could have had anyway. We shan't mention of course the withdrawal from over 120 government and quango agencies and directories we helped set up within the EU framework and have been the lifeblood of our country's administration over 45 fucking years.

whilst the decision to leave the eu was, considering that we brits are an island people who thrive on adversarial rather than the consensual politics that drive our mainland neighbours, a sensible one.
as the reality of brexit hits brussels, they are showing their true colours ... (cant get their own way, resort to foot stamping, goalpost shuffling, toys out of pram etc. never mind any respect for democracy) and seek to punish the uk to the fullest.
that the brits, with their innate sense of decency, respect for the law and fairness, assumed negotiations would progress towards a mutually beneficial conclusion shows how naive they have been.
i am now of the opinion that the referendum and its result was a mistake, and that the brits should have done what every other eu member does, i.e, ignored eu dictats, cooked the books and done whatever was best for themselves. and if that meant ignoring the eu court of human rights, employment laws, taxation regimes, environmental concerns, etc.etc.etc then so be it. it would be far better to be inside pissing out, than the other way round.
the threats and media driven economic doomsday scenarios will undoubtedly escalate as the clock ticks, but the rubicon has been crossed and britain must not cower in the face of those mealy mouthed, spoilt, corrupt, supercilious, pompous, selfish, gravy train riding frogs and krauts who have manipulated the eu for their own ends from day 1.
the brits need a team proficient in cunning, shrewdness, two facedness, slipperiness guile and stealth.
surely the torys, by their very nature, must have many mp's and sympathetic civil servants proficient in the above qualities, who can direct negotiations with a degree of expertise yet to shown by the current lot.
its not over until its over. there is still hope.
We made the right decision to leave which is vindicated by ever nasty rhetoric coming out of Brussels, no one was under any illusion that there would be some short term pain but we will rebuild and be stronger. Anti EU parties are gaining ground all across Europe and the Eurocrats want to do all they can in terms of punishing the UK to make other countries think twice about leaving but as always with the EU it will backfire in the end, the East Euro countries are already starting to stand up to Brussels. Just a shame we have such a weak willed PM in Doris, she is an embarassment but then again she is a remoaner who seems intent on caving in on every issue, sooner she goes the better.
I consider the rise of the right wing to be a very worrying trend. It seems like the old adage of history repeating itself is true. I still think if you lost your job to a unskilled migrant with limited English skills then you probably sucked royally at your job.
