Time now is another way of saying"in the present" because, as you are probably (although not certainly) aware, making changes to the past is immensely difficult and often involves the risk of Daleks and/or cybermen becoming involved.

I believe Ecuador provides Bananas which accord with EU straightness requirements. Otherwise, what a stupid question! There are lots of things the EU requires, Tantalum for example, which can only be provided by non-EU countries. Britain has nothing the EU requires. Bile and despair, the UK's principal exports, being adequately and less expensively provided by China and Belorussia respectively. Hypocrisy, the UK's third main export, is now produced locally in most countries around the world.

UK seeks to keep access to European Investment Bank
The British government is searching for a way to let borrowers in the UK continue to receive funding from the European Investment Bank after Brexit. Werner Hoyer, the EIB's president, has said he would like the UK to still be a member of the bank after it leaves the EU.

Looks like UKIP could go bankrupt. Now, I'd usually be cracking open a tinnie at this news, but I'm not. Concerned that smug cvnt Mogg might start his own independent party.

Why would the great orator Mogg want to start his own party? He is happy on the Tory back benches free to express his views as not beholden to cabinet responsibility. Im actually quite surprised Doris hasn't tried to appoint him to some junior role in the cabinet in an effort to silence him.

Deutsche Boerse chief wants London clearing business
Theodor Weimer, newly appointed CEO at Deutsche Boerse, intends to bring a larger share of euro clearing to Frankfurt, Germany, from the activity's hub in London. Weimer acknowledged the exchange has faced challenges but noted his determination for growth, pointing out opportunities in the index business and in currencies, commodities and fixed-income trading.

It appears David Davis had a hard day in front of the Brexit select commitee. Not even Mogg came to his aid, choosing to grill him like the rest. Mind you, any question is tough for Davis, he'd stutter if you asked him the time.

Liked the discussion about loss of sovereignty during the transition period, making the UK technically a vassal state. Currently looks like we are going to lose the one thing brexiteers were fighting for...

Har, har, as thegent would say......

You change like the wind, thought you'd be happy if we end up as a vassal state. That is presuming of course that you've finally accepted we're leaving.

Surprised to see no mention of Cameron's comments on here but guess they don't fit the remoaner agenda.

^ Not as bad as thought and not a disaster are hardly positive comments, unless you are scraping the barrel looking for optimism.

Your take on Mr Davis and the select committee?

The Euro is trading against the dollar at levels not seen since 2014. The pound pales with such a comparison. It shows more the state the US is in at the moment than the UK.

State US is in? Economy growing, unemployment falling, stock markets at record levels. What state of the US are you referring to?

Davis is hamstrung by collective cabinet responsibility, Mogg Is a true Brexiteer who believes in Britain and thankfully someone is holding the government to account. As I said previously I'm surprised Doris hasn't tried to get the Mogg in the cabinet so as to silence him. Would I rather have Mogg as PM than the current disaster Doris, cause I fucking would.

Mogg is the landed gentry and creams millions from the EU every year in subsidies. Don't mistake his "ohhh brexit cup of tea" for reality. He is a cvnt who will say anything to grab power and position for HIs Family.

What slump? Whatever left wing rag you are currently reading is obviously more distanced from reality than usual.

An interesting historical diversion and given the personae involved I suppose it is not unexpected there should be an element of absurdity woven into the tale. The notion that the great lady should have contracted the pox from tending the sick and infirm in the local hospital is of course as risible as it is stupid. Clearly, this was a pitiful stratagem to conceal the obvious fact that her husband, a man of the cloth and church elder, was, like all his kith at the time, a hypocritical serial shagger of prostitutes, child and otherwise, and contracted the disease which he evidently shared with his wife, Boris' great grannie.

Somehow it all begins to make sense.

UK official defends secrecy of Brexit banking paper
The British government won't announce soon what it wants in a post-Brexit deal for financial services because that "would not be in the public interest at this early stage of the negotiation," said Tom Scholar, the permanent secretary at the Treasury. The government had said it would publish a paper on post-Brexit services trade in September 2017.

Dimon: Brexit might lead JPMorgan to cut UK workforce
JPMorgan Chase might eliminate more than 4,000 UK jobs if financial rules diverge after the UK leaves the EU, CEO Jamie Dimon says. The scenario would hurt London's status as a financial hub, he says.

Hammond at WEF: EU to suffer if Brexit deal harms London
Punishing the City of London as part of a post-Brexit deal "would be a tremendous act of self-harm by the European Union," UK Chancellor Philip Hammond said while attending the World Economic Forum. The idea that Paris or Frankfurt, Germany, could take the place of London as a global financial hub is a fantasy, he said.

Brexit: Britons favour second referendum by 16-point margin – poll

Voters support the idea of holding a second EU referendum by a 16-point margin, according to one of the largest nationwide opinion polls since the Brexit vote.

The ICM survey, conducted as part of a Guardian reporting project, found 47% of people would favour having a final say on Brexit once the terms of the UK’s departure are known, while 34% oppose reopening the question. Excluding the roughly one-fifth who do not have a view gives a lead of 58% to 42% for a second referendum, showing rising interest in the idea as concern grows over the direction of recent negotiations. The increased backing has come from both sides of the debate, with one-quarter of leave voters in favour of having another referendum on the final deal.

I don't think it's on to have a vote or referendum on whether to have another referendum, stinks too much of Thailand from here.
