You dumb fuk, my mates own their own trucks not salaried wage slaves and command day rates of £400-450 a day, obviously they have to pay for their own fuel though which does take a chunk of that but regardless own your own truck and you are grossing £100k + year.

The halcyon times of 76 baht to the £ back in 2004 are a wet dream nowadays.

Don't worry Genticles, the good old times will return in a decade.
Just in time for my retirement, if I see you selling your wingmans ass down beach road.
I'll chuck a few quid in your flat cap begging on the sidewalk

Got chatting to an Aussie yesterday. His mate is English and has well paid job as an architect, but his only complaint is not enough of his salary is left over for him to spend. All gobbled up by higher rate tax, and the price of living in the uk.

TV license, broadband, phones council tax, and everyone he buys stuff from is passing on those costs to provide him with products. All this just so he can exist, in UK.

For some strange reason, this architect chap actually likes it there? My response; Every time I see the UK it’s drab, grey and overcast, and that’s just the people. Must be really awful if the skill and talent of Cyrille baulks at it too.

The lying sack of shit having been caught out now shifts his ground. It must have been hell for his first wife.
Any sort of analysis shows that over a five year period the costs of ownership of a 42 ton artic comes in at around £100k, irrespective of lease, HP or outright ownership at the outset taking into account maintenance and of course depreciation.
Factor in fuel and insurance costs, the annual combined cost to keep your tractor on the road, never mind the trailer, will equate to £50k.
now of course one has to add wages to that in addition to the time spent off the road and unavailable for contract revenue, and then taxes have to be paid.
You gormless sack of shit you couldn't run a fucking candy floss stall in a fucking garden fete. But the real kicker is that on hard Brexit no Brit trucker is going to have a fucking licence to truck into the EU and when he does he better make sure the factoring of his load has been sorted by the principal otherwise it ain't going anywhere.
Bumbumboy, the fantasist Brexshit oik, spunking bollocks, as always.

Following on from my back-of-envelope computation, I have found from the transport engineer.org.uk site they assessed the average costs of maintaining a 44 tonne tractor unit/trailer on an average commercial business cycle including depreciation/wages/insurances/maintenance/taxes/fuel to be £139,000.

Poor Bumbumboy, the bar room oik shooting the breeze with other barfly topers in between getting pissed and mongering.

Poor old Shittywangwang, no wonder he has that job driving a forklift around the Amazon warehouse, he's too fucking dumb to comprehend what day of the week it might be never mind the vicissitudes of Sterling exchange rates which will exclude him evermore from resettlement in the LoS.
Poor sap doomed to moulder away on a rundown suburban ghetto in some provincial backwater full of oiks in their social housing.
    Bless.

I see from today's Times that in line with my prophecy over 18 months ago, or was it two years, forecasts that the endearingly demented Tax derided and poo-pooed as Mystic Meg prognostications, Ford are now pulling out of Wales.

Brexit, a fuck up that continually delivers courtesy of 17 million morons.

    Har, har.

    The irony is rolling today...

Are you a flexitarian (or just a cnut?):

She's an idiot, and Piers is a twat.

Strange lot the greens... Some valid areas of concern, but some absolute nutters too. The point being that, as per the Welsh lot and the Scots, they vote for the party on ecological grounds. On a Brexit referendum, a different issue to the core party issues, their supporters will vote in a variety of ways. It was only the Brexit party, the Liberals and the Soubry party that had a clear position. If a second referendum does happen, with a clear cut question such as "no deal or remain" then leave will win by an even bigger margin, again...

I wonder how the Peterborough by-election will go.

You really are a thick gormless twat as has already been explained to you twice own your own truck and you can command a day rate of £400-450 which equates to grossing over £100k a year which I thought was fucking clear from my first post seeing as employed drivers dont get much above minimum wage. What actually is it you are disputing that drivers who own their own truck in the UK arent grossing a £100k is that because 100k is a lot to a lower end civil servant who never made it out of car parks and cemeteries.

You truly are an inferior species, aren't you. All that education and what did they get? They might as well have sent a fucking traffic cone to school instead of you, for all the good it did, eh?

Look you gormless appendage, a gross turnover is worthless if it is less than your costs.

You see, we in the real world who, unlike you, choose not to wallow in the gutter of deluded bigotry and ignorance, know that in order to succeed in business one must make what we know as a "profit". Profit is your turnover minus your costs and liabilities.

    Poor sap.

Now that I have wiped the Bumbumboy mud from my intellectual boot, I can proceed with what I wanted to post before I got distracted by the board's trash.

I have just checked and to my unending delight I have discovered that the Taffy neanderthals in Bridgend voted in the majority to leave the EU in the referendum.

    How delicious is that irony?

Fucked up the arse by their own stupidity. A wonderful metaphor for Brexit.

I told Tax two years ago that my Ford contact had told me that they would quit the UK if the UK left the customs union and single market. They simply could not manage JIT distribution and make it profitable. The thing is, Britain's decision to exclude itself from the EU meant it was always inevitable the UK would be excluded from Ford's rationalisation plans.

The diesel plant at Dagenham and transmission works up at Halewood are to go soon and it is logical to expect Dunton's R & D to be transferred. There's something at Daventry but I couldn't be arsed to look.

Still, let's hear it for the Taffies.

    Fucking muppets, eh?

There are many world class architectural firms in the UK. To have one or two on a CV and projects completed is how architects are rated, worldwide.

A little pessimistic for my tastes but I have always said that hard Brexit will see 32-34 baht eventually.

Still, the demographic of British retirees in LoS has ended for sure. In fact their retirement anywhere outside the shores of the UK will become a thing of the past once the EU transitional arrangements expire.

I think the Gambia and other shitholes might still attract but that's pretty much it.

In a way I feel sorry for the blue collar oiks who spent their hols abroad and had hopes of joining a ghetto of like minded lumpen lower end workers in their Spanish/Portuguese retirement but I guess its Margate, Weston-super-mare and Barry from now on.

They'll be happier there in truth.

Well the Brexit vote was a vote for isolation and full independence,

it will deliver on both, and that means everyone back on the miserable island being miserable and isolated

There is a wonderful symmetry to all this in that the worst reversal in modern British socio-economic history will be "delivered" by a buffoon jester of a man who has not only fucked his wives' lives up the arse, those of his own children, his friends, even his first employer, but who lied to an entire country on the side of a fucking great big red bus.

Boris the Destroyer will be his name for evermore, the man who presided over the end of the UK and the creation of a rump state, vassal to the USA, drifting off the NW coast of Europe called Engerwales.

You dont live in the real world though you ignorant twat, a one man band unlike a company with a fleet of trucks doesn't employ a load of mechanics and does his own maintenance work, as usual you just Google some random shit and take it as gospel without understanding what it relates to. Fuel being the major overhead, other than that no difference to running a fucking car. But never having worked in the private sector, risking your own capital in business I understand the whole concept is alien to you having just sucked off the government teat all your life. Anyway my mate Colin still going strong in his 60s owns a mansion in the UK a fuck off villa in the South of Spain and makes me look like a pauper not bad for someone running his truck at a loss, idiot. That's the trouble with you salaried wage slave public sector workers, life is to easy for you to ever take a risk and make some serious cash, hence end up living in whorestown moaning about the exchange rate as your meagre pension no longer covers the cost of your soi 6 excursions.
