The "silent majority" is a well thumbed sound-byte of the right wing gutter press.

It would be more accurate to say a very loud and vocal minority foaming at the mouth and puffing themselves up to appear larger than what they really are. You only have to look at the the utter failure of UKIP, even the leader(Farage) failed to win his own seat.

There seem to be very few, if any concrete benefits to Brexit. From a purely educational standpoint I hope the UK isn't going be be dicks about issuing visas for students, and I hope the same is true of the EU. The chance to study abroad can be a real game changer for many many people.

Travel is one of the best forms of education, it will be sad if that is made more difficult for a country that is just on our doorstep.

Looks like the police did a pretty good job of protecting the freedom to demonstrate and speak, even if the people they are protecting are rather simple thugs.
The UK as a whole does a pretty good job of keeping minority’s in the public eye, for all to see how pathetic they really are.
The Met would probably use the same group to Marshall 10,000 demonstrators of any ilk. Just spread them a bit thin perhaps.

Won't be dicks, those that qualify will get in among those that don't. Whatever's said about the past the Brit establishment have lost their spine and feel most comfortable on bended knees. Same can't be said for the malicious EU gods of gods, though thankfully they won't be around much longer and after Europe crashes there's a chance to rebuild, who knows, perhaps even with a sense of purpose that's worth the struggle.

For now we still have much to offer, as does the EU if new and forward thinking leaders dare to tinker with draconian reform.
